Cruel tenacity,
Raging underneath,
Yet within
Defiant blood.
Extension
Reaching arms,
Crying,
"Help! Help!"
But heavy arms,
And yet you reach?
The voice dissipates.
Help?
Waiting. Waiting.
Arms falling.
Limping.
Falling.
Dare still reach?
A catch.
Familiar ground.
I feel you;
Want you around.
Closer, closer, closer now.
God, keep me safe,
Safe in your arms.
