It was Freddie's 15th birthday. He'd been planning his celebrations for months! His friends, John, Roger, and Brian would come over to his house for a sleepover and they would watch movies all night. Freddie had also chosen the movies, some of his favourites, these included Ocean's 11 and The Three Worlds Of Gulliver.
It was around 1am when Freddie said, "is anyone awake?", his friends had been very quiet towards the end of the last movie
"I am" John spoke quietly
"Roger and Brian are sparked out" Freddie chuckled
"Roger fell asleep first, he'll have to do the forfeit" John proclaimed. Every sleepover the boys had together they had a tradition where the first to fall asleep had to do a forfeit
"Hmm what shall it be?" Freddie thought
"It should be an eating one. He loves food but he won't love something gross" John thought out loud
"I have pickles, they are gross" Freddie stick his tongue out in disgust
"Pickles and ice cream" John smirked. He was playing with his own hands, never once looking up at the birthday boy
"You are evil" Freddie laughed, "It's a great idea" he got up and went over to the TV
"What are you doing?" John asked with concern and fear in his voice
"I'm going to turn off the TV" Freddie answered
"Please don't!" John whimpered, grabbing hold of Freddie's wrist
"What's up Deaks?" Freddie questioned
"I'm scared of the dark" John admitted quietly. Freddie didn't have a small lamp in his living room like the others did. Normally the lamp would be put on with no questions so John was able to hide his secret
"It's ok I'm here" Freddie hugged John when he realised he was getting tearful
"Sorry" John trembled
"It's perfectly fine John" Freddie whispered, not wanting to wake the other two up
Freddie and John cuddled in a comfortable silence. A while later, Freddie realised that John had fallen asleep. Freddie eventually closed his eyes and fell into a slumber too.
The next morning turned into a complete chaos.
"I didn't fall asleep first! Brian did!" Roger pleaded
"I heard you snoring before I was even tired" Brian commented
"We all saw you Rog" Freddie grinned as he made the pickle ice cream
"Just give me the ice cream" Roger grumbled, reluctantly accepting defeat
"Eat up Roggie" Freddie teased
Roger took a spoon and scooped some of the concoction. He took a quick look at it before bringing it up to his lips and eating it with no fuss at all.
"You seriously didn't just do that" Brian grimaced
"Did you like it?" John questioned
"No it was awful. I just didn't want to give you guys the satisfaction. But wow that was disgusting" Roger stuck his tongue out, causing everyone to chuckle.
