In the Windswept Glade

Tender eyes in loving shade, a blessing in the windswept glade

Gentle hands run through my hair, thus it be the answered prayer

You sing with voice of temperate brooks, songbirds blush with timid looks

Kindness pressed in every word, long at last my nerves succored

From battles long with scars of folly, break me of my melancholy

Let your melody be true, as I fall in love with you

A harmony in our embrace, as racing hearts drum the pace

Compose our song of listing trills, up and down the rolling hills

into valleys ever lush, with naught but clouds to hide your blush

Pulsing colors drench the air, as sunset dips back to it's lair

You lean in with desperate plea, words that quivered violently

"As you know my love rings true, I ask but once this thing of you

Stay with me in darkest night, do not falter and take flight

You righteous man of Cupid's own, whose arrow pierced my breast and bone

For tonight just rock my shit, and choke me out as I drown in spit."
