We who stand together, linked by fated knot
Gordian in nature, or so that's what I thought
Entwined with hectic care, feelings clustered-caught
United in all aspects, bound by love and trust
I never did expect, your first unprompted thrust
A knife that sawed the strings, wielded in your lust
I thought it a mistake, and sought then to repair
Gathered what was left, beseeching you for care
As you took my hand, relief like answered prayer
Weaving fingers danced, pausing but to rest
Sewing what was torn, and placing hand to breast
For still I had to heal, the wound inside my chest
Looking to your eyes, you can imagine then my pain
When you gazed upon another, with hunger clear and plain
Affection I accrued, drowned then in disdain
I screeched a lashing wail, as you sat content to pander
Severing our bond, I became my life's commander
May you regret your fate, for I am the Greater Alexander
