You are more than just a word, whittled in your mind
You are more than your reflection, dejected and resigned
You are more than just another, cog in the machine
You are more than just your weight, fat, frail or in-between
You are a source of love, to those who know you most
You are a friend of many, of which they proudly boast
You are a calming word, to those in great distress
You are the welcome hug, of those distraught and stressed
Focus on the good, take care and get some rest,
for tomorrow you will rise, and still be counted with the best.
