Avni's POV

I can't wait anymore. Exactly before 2 hours Lila texted me and asked me to meet her at her home but now I am here sitting simply on her pink bed. When I asked Mrs. Richmond. She said she won't have any idea of where Lila is. This girl always likes messing with me.

What are you doing here, Avni? Lila asked walking inside her bedroom and throwing her bag on the couch

"Are you kidding? See you texted me and asked me to meet you here" I said showing her my phone

"Oh, sorry I forgot"

That's fine. Lil, where were you?

"I went to Arjun's office to invite him for tomorrow's party"

Oh and is everything fine between you two?

"Absolutely" Lila said and giggled.

Did you both decide how to explain it to your father?

What's there to explain? Lila said walking away from me.

"There is so much to explain to your father because you two don't want to mar.....

Ishhhh.....Avni

She kept a finger on my lips and made me stop

But Lila...

"No buts, Avni. I know you will have lots of questions. I will definitely give answers to questions but not now. I will answer them tomorrow"

Why not today then why tomorrow?

"Baby, please no more questions. Let's have our No phone time and inform your mom that you are staying here for the night" Lila said and giggled like a 10-year-old. I know I have to wait till tomorrow for answers.

"No, that's not fair Lil"

"Everything is fair " she giggled

Before 1 hour me and Lila decided to play cards but this girl is cheating me a lot.

"No, I can't play anymore" I threw my set of cards on the bed

"Why? All you are a such spoilsport" Lila singsonged her words

"Enough of playing. let's talk something"

Oh and Avni. I thought of asking you. Who is your date for tomorrow?

"Date? I don't bring a date for your parties that's usually right"

"That's usual but tomorrow's party is not usual. It's my 18th birthday. I won't allow you inside without a date so better find a date"

"Then this how it is? I am not coming" I finished my sentence and turned away from her acting as if I am angry.

"Keeping an angry bird face is not going to work and you don't have options you have come and with the date"

"Lil, I don't know any boys and you know this too. Please let me come alone" I pleaded her with my puppy face

"Even your puppy face is not going to work. I am tired I am going to sleep" she yawned and crawled to one side of the bed.

What will I do now? I don't even know anyone. I don't care about the rules I will attend the party alone only. I crawled to the other side of the bed and covered myself with a blanket. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep.

Arhaan, he is going alone... My subconscious reminded me. Yes, he is going alone he can be my date. I took my phone from the nightstand and typed a message for him

Hey, Are you coming tomorrow?

And pressed send. After a few minutes I heard a Dingg sound

Arhaan: Nope, you already know why...

You have to ask Avni. Come on you can do this. You both want to go but you both don't have a date so go together.it's simply

: Actually, Lila said it's compulsory for everyone to bring a date including me because it's her 18th birthday party.

He replied back immediately

Arhaan: Oh.....

Idiot and dumb he is both together. But I don't have any other option.

: As we don't have partners but we want to go. Can we both go together?

I pressed the send and closed my eyes. What if he rejects? What if he doesn't want to go with me? All types of negative questions were raising on mind. Without thinking I send another message

: Never mind Arhaan. It's fine if you don't want to attend with me. I will try to find another way to go.

He replied within seconds

Arhaan: Hey nothing like that Avni and you don't think too much. Let's go together.

: Oh god thank you so much.

Arhaan: here there is no need for thanks:D

Without knowing what to say next I sent him emojis. So everything is set now I have a date for tomorrow's party. Let's see what tomorrow has for me. I closed my eyes and left darkness to capture me.
