Falling for this girl will be the easiest thing you've ever done
Her body is lithe and little and free
A show for your eyes in the kitchen, around the table
She holds the world up in smiles and sarcasm
Lusting after this girl will be the longest thing you've ever done
She'll make you wait until it becomes an inside joke
Tease and retract; touch and freeze
Make sure her thighs part naturally
Loving this girl will be the hardest thing you've ever done
She'd rather scream behind the walls of a closet
Thinking there's a hole you'd throw yourself into
You're not her crutch and she says so with her hands
Leaving this girl will be the quickest thing you've ever done
Her love is strong but your will to work is not
Perspectives clashing in big and short pictures
Years of promise slip away with you in your suitcase
Missing this girl will be the dumbest thing you've ever done
It's a disservice to boil in your choices
While you hover over what could have been
She finds breath to fill her eyes and smile
And forget
