I think it's odd that we all wish to go back
Live the days as a child
Wish for less because we thought it was easier
But only when we compare now from then
I do not understand how we can believe that a child's problems were more ideal
That lost toys are preferred over lost credit cards
When the pain we felt when we left Charlie the horse at the gas station is no different from the gold plated chip that fell into a diner booth
The insignificance we place on someone's inexperience is inexcusable
I will not be told that my hardships cannot exist while yours still festerFunny that we cried harder for Charlie
Because it was the greatest loss we knew
Until we realized that there was someone to take us to the car
That would take us to the gas station
Where the man with the funny mustache had kept Charlie
That there is a phone
That would take us to the credit card company
That would send us a new one without charge
That problems are just problems
And solutions are conclusions
Because to you a child embraces sawdust
While you caress a piece of plastic
