Nat sat next to Clint in his farm house. Laura and the kids were asleep, and didn't know Clint was back, or that Aunty Tasha was here. Of course Laura knew about the accords and Tony's death. Despite everything she did like Tony.

They sat there in silence - just thinking. They thought about how they had let their teammate down when he needed them the most, and because they sided with steve, the genius was now dead, and there was nothing they could do to help.

Nat looked down at her widow bite that tony had worked on for hours for her, and how exited he looked when she used it for the first time and thanked him for it. Clint remembered how enthusiastic he had been when he told him about some new arrows he was thinking of making him, and how long and hard he had spent working on them. Because Tony was a team player, despite what the press said about him. He was not a selfish person, the team always came first. And when it came down to it, they had left him alone. He had to fight steve- and had lost.

He wouldn't have wanted this. They all knew that. Before the war, f he had died they knew h would have wanted them to be oused, and safe, and looked after. But now they didn't know anymore. Would he wanted them in the toer, or would he had wanted them out - to be punished for their disloyalty.

Suddenly Nat's phone vibrated in her holster where she kept it. She looked own, and as she did Clint's phone done the same thing. They shared a glance before turning it to the phone's screen. Nat looked at it without emotion - her normal face. She saw what it said, and knew what it ment, but couldn't understand.

Clint didn't know, he wasn't that smart and so Tony never told him what he had been doing some months before. He looked at Nat, and she met his gaze.

"it means ... JARVIS is backonine. Because Ross had him turned off ... to allow the Rogues in. " she continued ot look at Barton.

"so ... what does it mean. JARVIS couldn't turn himself back on ... could he?"

"no, but Tony had him programmed as a back up system in case he was turned off by anyone but tony ... unless he was dead ... " she looked at Clint.

Realisation hit them both hard at the same time, leaving them both breathless.

The stone cold assassin, felt tears well up in her eyes, and she looked down once again, "this means Tony's alive."
