The next day, you walked to the normal bench but 'Howard' wasn't there. You looked around worried, but after a while you decided that he must have left, after deciding you were too weird or stupid or not good enough. Those thoughts circled your mind for the whole day, and was noticed by your colleagues.

Your friend walked up to your desk and asked if you were okay.

" yeah, im okay thank you, just tired. " you sighed and continued doing your work. #

"are you sure it hasn't got anything to do with that man you keep talking too across the road. Wasn't he there this morning. " they asked worried for you, knowing you would do reckless things to try and help people-it's just who you were.

"No, you don't think something has happened to him do you? Or do you think he just left? Was it me, was it something I ....."

"(y/n) stop, he may have gone to get something to eat, or he may have gone to a shelter for the night. Stop worrying, i'm sure he's fine." they gave you a small smile and left you, hopeful that he was okay.

The day went really slowly, and you couldn't stop thinking about 'howard'. You really hoped he was okay, and not hurt- or worse.

THE PREVIOUS NIGHT:

You had left tony there watching you walk away, desperately wanting to go with you. However he stopped himself and went to turn around and go back to his normal bench when a group of drunk men walked out of the local pub, shouting and causing trouble. Tony kept his head down and tried to walk past, but was shoved by one of the men.

He was pushed back, dropping some of his blankets, he went to pick them up, but was pushed to the ground. The other men followed this one, and took his bag and tipped the contents all over the pavement. One took his glasses and stamped on them. Tony shouted and went to grab them back but another guy got his arm and held it down while another stepped on it. He screamed in pain, while the others broke and destroyed as much stuff as possible.

Then one walked out of the pub and walked over to them. "Isn't this the guy who keeps talking to that woman from across the road?" he slurred and the other s took the new information as an excuss to start kicking Tony in the stomach and side. He groaned and tried to shield himself as much as possible, but they were over powering and quickly beat him to the point where he passed out.
