You both stood there. Very awkwardly.

"Are you okay, (Y/N)chan?" He broke the silence that had suddenly settled between the two of you. You nodded slowly as you slowly began to look at him. Tanjiro gave a thin smile before he began to turn his body back forward, "We shouldn't just stand around. Let's go put these stones away okay?" Never a hint of irritation in his voice. Never waiting for a response, he trudged on, and so did you shortly afterwards.

Now walking right next to him, you both walked in silence. Wanting for the sudden silence to break once more, Tanjiro began to speak again, "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable (Y/N)chan." You looked up at him with agape lips as he eyed you from the side. "You never made me uncomfortable, Tanjiro." You quickly responded, not wanting him to think that he was the reason why you two's sweet moment quickly turned sour. He turned his head to you now, a little surprised and confused at your response. A defeated sigh escaped from you before you spoke, "I don't really know how to explain it, but..." You felt yourself become tongue-tied as you tried to convey your hard-to-control-emotions.

And as you attempted to word your emotions, Tanjiro sighed with his usual smile, "Don't think  about it too much (Y/N)chan. Let's just focus on making the grave, alright?" Looking up and finding his soothing smile, you nodded. Silence enveloping the both of you once more.

Once back to the burial site, you saw the three other siblings already placing down their stones as Zenitsu was walking at a snails pace towards the grave. You chuckled a little at the sight and speed-walked the rest of the way towards the grave, leaving your friend behind. Now placing the large rock that you had and Tanjiro about to set his own, two very different sounding screams began to ring through the air.

One sounded like it was filled with anger while the other was screaming bloody-murder. You turned your head to where the sound was coming from only to be met with a terrified Zenitsu grabbing hold of the youngest sibling and hiding behind her. "Zenitsu, why are you hiding behind her?" Zenitsu lifted a finger to the oncoming, awakened, wild male, "Because he suddenly woke up and kept yelling at me to fight him!"

You looked back at the male with blue tips in his hair before returning your attention back to Zenitsu.

"And you're hiding behind a child?" You spoke with unamusement.

"Don't put it like that! I bet she's a lot stronger than me and can defend both of us!" He wailed as his grip tightened on the young child's shoulders.

"She's just a little girl, Zenitsu..." Your face contorting with shamefulness at the males actions.

"HEY! DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT!" He shrilled.

And once Zenitsu screamed back, the blue-tipped male screamed himself. "What the hell are you guys doing?!" He yelled with a rigid finger pointing at all six of you. 'Have you never seen a burial?' You thought to yourself, already knowing that you would've agitated the wild boy if you said those words.

Next spoke your sun-haired friend as he placed his own stone down, his voice calm, "It's a burial. You should help out too, Inosuke. There are still people who were killed inside the house." Tanjiro lifted his finger to point at the now quiet house. Inosuke yelled in protest and denied to help bury the remaining dead that stayed within the house as his forehead was a blazing red from Tanjiro's head-butting. "Forget that and just fight me!" He yelled with eyes filled with ire.
