Gregory's POV
They were still standing at the door
There were no belts but the paper part was real

The things I can imagine in a few seconds

They stood there sending me murderous glares and I'm sure I had a terrified look on my face because Julia said "don't worry, we're not gonna do anything inhuman"

That was supposed to make me calm down but it didn't, I'm really scared of what they would do to me

They finally stepped inside, just enough to close the door

Celine stopped glaring at me "you know, when Julia told me everything, I had just one question" she raised her index finger "why? Just why, why and a lot more why's"

"Why did you pick me? I mean there are a lot of prostitutes you can use for sex so, why? Why me? You knew you were married, why did you propose to me? Why did you make me fall for you? I was depressed about a few boyfriends ditching me and then you came, made me feel like the luckiest woman ever and it turns out it was all a game" she said, stopping here and there for little sobs and by the time she was done, she was full on crying

"Seven years....seven years, Gregory, we were married for seven years, if you didn't want  to stay anymore, you could've just said so, I mean I'd have been hurt but it'll be better than the misery you made me pass through, I became a monster but you know I don't regret marrying you because of one good thing that came out of it"

Julia wasn't crying, she doesn't cry often and when she does it feels like the world is ending

Uh-oh

I look up to her face to see a tear sliding slowly across her face as she spoke

"You know, I loved you, I trusted you a lot more than I should have but" she angrily wiped her tears "I'm not gonna waste my tears on you no more"

I don't know why but that hurt a lot

Alright, I know why

Despite, everything that's happened I still love her very much

I've always loved her

"Julia, babe, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, please forgive me, just give me one more chance, I still love you babe"

Julia laughed bitterly " You still love me?"

Celine joined her with a laugh just as bitter " You're sorry? Forgive you? You monster" she yelled out the last part

Julia spoke again "One more chance, that is the one thing you can never get from me" she laughed again

"We're not gonna release this Information we got about you, you know why?" She continued

"We're not doing this for you so don't get any thoughts" Celine spoke

"We're doing this for Chantal, it would break her to see you lose everything you have" Julia said  and I saw that spark in her eyes that reminded me that the woman I married is still hidden somewhere behind all this

"Um...Mia please, untie him" Celine spoke looking towards Amelia and Rosemary who I forgot were still in the room

"You wanna know why we did this?" Celine asked with a small smile " this was just the closure I needed and...we need to get Julia her freedom from you"

When I was free, I sat up, at the edge of the table

Rosemary handed me the divorce agreement and a pen

I looked to Julia "Julia, we can work this out, we can make this work, I love you babe, please"

"We'll discuss the terms on which you'll get to see Chantal later, I don't want any of your properties,  you can keep it all, any other question?"

"Jul..." I started but she cut me off

"Please, don't say anything not related to what we're talking about " she stated calmly

"Would you sign the damn paper already?" She raised her voice a little after a moment of silence

And then I clicked the bottom of the pen and put my signature at the bottom of the page

I signed away the only good thing left in my life, I signed away my family

"I think we said this before buh we're not exposing the fact that you're not a certified doctor because you're quite a good doctor and we don't want to take that away from the society" Julia spoke

"Coupled with the fact that you have a sweet little daughter that loves you a lot" Celine finished

Julia collected the papers and the pen before turning to her friends "shall we go?"

And they all nodded as they headed to towards the door

"You can leave whenever you want to" Julia called over her shoulders

And just like that I was left alone in the room
