Julia's POV

I freshened up and ate some food that apparently Ed ordered for me

I'm currently in a cab and on my way to Celine's

I'm dressed in a high waist jeans and a black three-quarter sleeved crop top paired with a brown wedge and a brown pullover coat to protect me from the cold

I suddenly remembered something, she'll need an explanation for why I suddenly disappeared

When the taxi dropped me off, I walked as slowly as I could to the doorstep trying to think of an excuse

But sadly, none came to mind

I was about to ring the bell when the door burst open and I was hauled into a tight warm embrace

I inhaled her scent and melted into her,hugging her back, I can't imagine how much I missed this woman

"Julia, where have you been?" She asked the question I've been dreading

I tried pulling away to answer her question but she didn't let go

We remained in that position for quite a while before she finally pulled away, pulling me inside with a great sense of urgency

She led me into her living room that now seems all too familiar to me

She sat down and tapped the space beside her, inviting me to sit next to her

I felt really nervous like a child who was facing judgment for stealing candy

I gave a small smile before sitting next to her

She looked at me and when I looked into her eyes, I didn't see anger or rejection or anything like that instead I saw relief, happiness and curiosity

Her eyes bore into mine as if searching for some sort of answer

And the next thing I knew, I was in her arms again

She gave me a much longer hug before she pulled away to speak

"I missed you so much Julia, where did you go?, you weren't taking my calls, I didn't know where to search and honestly, I just really missed you....a lot" she started saying everything in one breath until she finally slowed down

"I missed you too, Celine" I told her sincerely "a lot more than I thought I would" I added quietly

"I have so many questions- where did you go?, why did you go?, why didn't you leave a message?, why didn't you call?...scratch that...why didn't you take my calls?" She bombarded me with questions

"Celine, I can't answer all those questions now but I will....if you will even remember to ask when you learn the truth" I told her, mumbling the last part

I was expecting her to freak over why I didn't want to answer her questions buh she surprised me with her next words

"I'm just glad to have you back" she stated with a wide smile and next thing I know she's giving me a tight hug which I returned gladly as I mumbled a quick 'me too'

I spent the next few hours having a girls night with Celine

She told me all she's been up to, from work to missing me to Gregory....new suitors...persistent suitor and basically all she's done these past few months

I told her everything I did too

I just couldn't stop myself, I trust her that much

I spilled everything, I'm just glad I left out a few parts

I told her, I had issues with my husband that he was cheating on me but I thankfully left out the part about  my husband being her fiancé

She decided to drop me off at the hotel after begging to to stay countless times buh I couldn't risk Gregory seeing me at Celine's

She was dropping me off at the entrance when I offered her coffee

And the girls night was moved to the hotel

It was really late when she left and I realized that I couldn't tell her the truth this way

Time to bring out plan B

Ring Ring

I heard my phone ring and the name that flashed through my screen brought instant smile to my face

My face lit up as I picked the call with a 'Eddie!!!'

I heard him chuckle smoothly on the other side of my phone

"How many times do I have to remind you, it's Ed just Ed" he said, trying to sound serious buh I knew better

"And how many times do I have to remind you, I'll never listen" I retorted

And that was how my day ended beautifully

He asked how my meeting with Celine went and I told him everything

He showed so much concern, I didn't expect it from him

Is it weird that all I can think of is the fact that Gregory never ever showed concern about my daily life
