Julia's POV

Eddie had Cody drop me off even though, I told him, I could drive myself

He said it would make him sure I got home safe

It was really hard saying 'goodbye' to everyone at the ranch, it was like parting with ones family

I think I made a family out of them, it was really had not to

They accepted me with open arms and treated me like family, they shared their stories with me even when I refused to share mine

Only Ed and Anna lee knew what really happened to me

Anna-lee became a really close friend of mine and I'm gonna miss her a whole damn lot

Cody dropped me off at an hotel, Ed is a shareholder here and he made sure, I won't be charged a single penny for my stay

"Thanks, Cody, say me well to everyone at the ranch" I said giving him a hug when we arrived at the hotel

"Aiyye, we will miss you a lot Julia, make sure you visit okay ." He replied hugging me back

"I will" I said pulling away from him "a word of advice Cody, be sure to grab Anna-lee while she's still available, okay?" I finished giving him a knowing look

"Shit, Julia that's been on my mind, I've noticed some that some men at the ranch have their eyes on her lately" he swore, his expression shifting to serious in 0.1 seconds

I just let out a small laugh before getting out of the car"bye, Cody, thanks again"

I opened the back door to get out my things

"Julia, I need advice, I'll call you, okay?" He said and I replied with an 'okay' before waving him off

I watched him drive out of the hotel until he was no longer in sight

I picked up my things and went to the reception

I just told the receptionist my name and in a matter of seconds, someone was carrying my bags and another was showing me to my room

Either, Ed's really powerful here or the service is just very good

The staff who showed me to my room was showing me how to swipe a card as if I were some toddler or something

I internally rolled my eyes when he locked the door again to re-demonstrate

I gave a tip only to the staff who carried my things because I was upset with the other one for  treating me like I'm some dumb child

I closed the door and only then did I turn around and take in the environment

This isn't an hotel room, it's a suite

It had a big flat screen TV on the wall in front of the sofa which was a deep shade brown

There was a curtain at the left directly facing the door which I suspect leads to a balcony

There was another curtain  beside the couch, I opened that one and was met by a slide door

I opened the slide door and was met with a big beautiful room, it had a king size bed and another TV on the wall in front of the bed

I brought my things to the bedroom and dug out my phone before going back out to the sitting room

I was searching for Ed on my contacts when my phone started ringing and the name Eddie flashed brightly across the screen which made a smile shine brightly across my face

"Wow, Mr Knight, you really have such great timing, I was just about to call you" I said on picking the call

"Really?, is everything all alright?" He asked and I knew he was gonna get worried at the slightest hesitance

And I decided to amuse myself a bit

"Well, it's......ahh,never mind, it's fine" I stuttered a bit

"What is it? Did they not treat you well? Do you want a different suite? Tell me, Julia, what's wrong?" He started to get worried, asking many questions at once

I let out a loud laugh "I'm fine, Eddie, I was just catching fun"

"Ahh,  very funny  Mrs. Jacobs" he said and I just imagine the amused look he would have on his face

"On a more serious note, this suite is too big for me, just a room would have been okay for me" I said once I recovered from the smile that covered my face

"Well, then, if that's the only problem then I don't think we have a problem here" he said dismissing what I said

"What? What do you mean?" I asked pretending to not know him, he won't change his mind no matter what

I just had to try

He let out a sigh before speaking "how many times do I need to tell you, Julia? You are an extraordinary species of women and you deserve the most extraordinary things of life"

I chuckled a bit before I replied with "thanks, Eddie, thanks a lot for ....everything"

"Bye, Julia" he said and I responded with a 'bye' before he hung up abruptly

I decided to freshen up a bit and maybe get some sleep before I went to Celine's
