Julia's POV

I've been driving for hours without food or anything to drink and I prefer it to living with Gregory with all the luxury in the world

I've been constantly checking for a restaurant of any kind but all to no avail

Of course, I'm driving to the local part of town where my sister owns a ranch

I want a peaceful atmosphere to bond with mother nature

That will help me relax and make less stupid decisions

I spotted light from afar, it looks like it's coming from a small coffee shop

It became clearer as I got closer

Finally, I found somewhere to eat

I quickly pulled over into the small parking lot

Hurrying out of the car, I grabbed my bag, locked the doors and walked as fast as possible to the door of the coffee

Even I am surprised at how hungry I am

As I reached out to push the door open, I felt someone bump into me

"Ohh, I'm sorry, are you okay?" I heard an unfamiliar voice and looked up to see a beautiful lady

About my age, I guess

"It's fine" I replied with the best smile I could give in my hungry state

"I'm sorry, I'm just really hungry, you see I've been driving for a while now with nothing to eat and I guess that took all my strength, I'm sorry" she apologized, explained then apologized again

"It's okay, really, looks like we're in the same situation, you see I've also been driving for hours with nothing to eat" I said

"Well, then let's get in there and get something to eat before we die of starvation" she said before holding out the door for me to go inside

I did and she followed behind me

I picked a table and she nodded in agreement

Sitting down at the table, I asked for her name

"The beautiful name of this beautiful creature is Janine" she joked and I gave a small laugh, it feels good to relax sometimes

"Okay, then Janine could you order us something nice while I go to the bathroom for a few minutes"

I went into the bathroom which was very small to do my business

When I got back, Janine had ordered food,so I just ate

We talked a lot and I found out a few things about her

She had a problem in her part of town so she's going to the city as an escape route

Kind of like me, I'm going to her part of town to escape the terrible reality that is my life and she's going to my part of town to escape her reality

Only difference is that I plan to go back to the city buh she doesn't

She wants to leave the country side forever, I want to relax a bit to think better and then go back

"Julia, did you hear the news?" I heard Janine's voice

"Snow, there's gonna be a snow storm later on, we gotta get moving" she said, getting up
