Julia's POV
After receiving the call from Celine, I left a note for Gregory telling him that I just went out for a while

I took his car keys just so he couldn't leave

I am currently at Celine's house

Celine was telling me how Gregory had this house with no TV and very little furniture

The only thing I could think was   Of course, it has little furniture, he doesn't live there

Who doesn't use a TV or who doesn't furnish his house completely

But she was too blind to see that

She is drunk, drunk with love for Gregory

Gregory and I had planned to buy a new house but he went ahead and bought it on his own just so he could bring Celine there

This got me angry, a lot angry

Celine had gone to get us some drinks

I left Celine with the excuse of having to pick my daughter up

Initially, she wanted to come with me buh I managed to decline without hurting her feelings

I am currently in front of my house, waiting for the security to open up

I pressed the middle of the wheel to horn for the nth time since I got here

Now I'm mad

The gate finally opened

The security tried to greet and apologize to me and maybe give me an excuse of some kind buh I just sent him a glare

I walked to the front door, still mad at the security

I opened the door and was greeted by the sweet scent of my husband's cologne

He sighed of relief, he was right in front of the door then he moved aside a bit sobI could go in and close the door

He waited for a bit before opening his mouth to say something

Nothing came out, he closed it back

He repeated this process for a while before he finally spoke

"What the hell, Julia?" he yelled

Wait...what?...he yelled...I ain't gonna be taking this shit no more

"Julia, why the hell would you...." he continued yelling but this time, I cut him off

"Shut up" I tried yelling over his voice but I failed terribly

I was never really a loud person

Thankfully, that still got him to shut up

"What?" he asked no longer yelling but now surprised

I was never really one to talk back at him buh things are gonna change from now on

I'm not gonna stand here and watch him belittle me

"You heard me, you need to shut up and stop yelling at me" I repeated confidently

We stood there for a while, none of us saying anything

I couldn't stand the tension anymore

I started to walk away buh he dragged me back, not aggressively buh not exactly gentle

"I'm sorry, babe, I didn't mean to yell, I was just angry " he apologized

"Well, you need to find better ways to show your anger and not yell at me all the time" I stated to which he nodded

"Now" I began, wanting to know what caused all this yelling in the first place "why are you so angry?"

He hesitated for a bit before quietly saying "You took all my keys to I couldn't leave and...and I waited but you didn't show up and I just got really mad"

"I'm sorry" he finished

"It's okay, maybe I shouldn't have taken your keys, I guess I just wanted to make sure you'd be here when I got back" I apologized

When he wasn't saying anything, I spoke up

"So, where were you going?"

"To the hospital...but to sign something, I'm going to Florida for a conference that lasts a week and I get a week off before I leave to relax and prepare"

I didn't reply so he opened his mouth to say something

"Okay??" he asked making sure I was okay with it and I just nodded

I was still surprised and a bit annoyed when he left

I remained still on the spot thinking about everything he just said

He wants to stay home for a week and be gone completely for the next

I was still swimming in my thoughts when my phone rang snapping me out of thoughts

I searched for the phone in my bag and finally got it out

I looked down at the name displayed

It was Celine, I don't know if I want to talk to her right now

I picked up the call with a faked excitement "heyyyy, Celine"

"Julia, Gregory just gave me a good news" she squealed with real excitement

"What? He's there"

"No, he called" she replied in a duh tone

"So, may I ask what this good news is"

"Exactly why I called, he's going to Florida for a week and after that he'll spend a week with me, a whole week, Julia, I'm so excited"

That's when it hit me

Gregory is a lying, cheating bastard

The week he'll be with me, Celine thinks hell be in Florida

And the week he'll be with Celine, he wanted me to think he's in Florida

I can't believe I thought he had changed

I need to get back on track and focus on what I want
