"RHODEY! RHODEY I'M RIGHT HERE!"
I scream at the top of my lungs as I wave my arms right in front of him.

"Didn't you hear that?"
Rhodey asked as Pepper helped him up. He had heard me. Then why can't he see me? I'm 2 inches away from him.

"Hear what?"
Pepper asked, clearly ultra confused.

"Pepper? Please tell me you can hear me.."
I plead, I get down on my knees and grab her hand.

She instantly rips it away and grabs her own hand, she looks around the room. She obviously felt that I'm here.

Where here is I have no idea, all I see is the two of them. The rest is black.

"What's wrong?"
Rhodey's voice echoes. Pepper still looks around the room in confusion.

"Something just touched my hand..."

"I'm awake!"
I jolt up from the position I'm in, I keep my eyes closed. I'm too scared to find out where I am.

"Seems like you are."
Is it that English-German? Why is he here? And where am I?
SHIT.

I slowly open my eyes and I'm met with Dr. Erskine.

"Steven. Your friend is awake."
He yells, Steve pops his head into the room and smiled when he saw me.

"I'm so glad you're awake. I was worried about you,"
He mumbled: "Again,"

"And I took you here.."

"And he has good news."
Dr. Erskine announced. I nodded slowly.

"I'm enlisted. I'm in the army now."
He said proudly. Double shit. It makes me blurt out: "What the shit?"

Both of them throwing me surprised looks.
I clear my throat.

"Sorry."
I muttered.

"May I ask, Tony."
Dr. Erskine emphasizes my name.

"Ask away."

"Why aren't you enlisting?"
Ugh, this fucking question. I'm tired please let me go back home! Is it gonna be like this every time I fall asleep? I end up in that black place and only see my friends?
