"You are doing well sir," she said smiling.

Isn't she smiling too much?

"What is in it?" Adi questioned her.

"Porridge sir," she said again smiling.

"Take it and go," he said.

"No sir you have to eat. Doctor ordered to make you eat it fully as you haven't had anything properly for the past month"

"I don't need it", he said sternly.

She ignored him and kept her hand on his shoulder and rub it making me fume in anger, it's not a bad touch but still I hate it. She takes a spoon and takes it to feed him.

"I don't need it" he repeated.

"Just one bowl sir," she said not leaving his shoulder.

Did she forget that I am here? His wife?

My husband is adamant about not having food at any cost.

I lost my temper.

"Excuse me?" I called her.

Ha, now you noted my presence?

"I can make my husband eat. You can go" I said in not so sweet voice.

Her smile faded. But she managed to give a nod and walked out leaving the tray of porridge and water on the table.

I took the tray and sat beside his bed close to him.

He keeps on looking at me but I never meet his eyes.

"I don't want porridge," he said.

Who is going to listen to his words? Not me.

At least not now.

I take a spoon of porridge and take it to his mouth.

He made his lips into a thin line.

Stubborn ah? Let's see.

I didn't take my hands which are in front of his mouth. He turned his face away from me.

"Adith eat it now" I ordered him.

"No" he is persistent to not eat it.

"Eat"

"No, I don't want to eat it. I want something spicy" he said.

"Are you mad? At this condition which doctor will give you spicy foods?"

"Who cares about the doctor. I want something spicy"

"Shall I sprinkle some chili masala in this porridge?" I asked sarcastically.

"Chiiiii who will eat it?"

"Then shall I buy you some green chillis?"

"No" he nearly shouted.

"I gave you two options you rejected both. Then you have no other way other than this porridge"

"Why are you doing this Janvi?"

"What am I doing? Or shall I call that nurse to feed you? I am sure she will love to feed you"

"Whare did that nurse came from?"

"Ah from your stomach. Eat it now or I will kill you" I threatened him and his eyes widened. It's the first time i am doing this to him.
