'Glow'

Even in the Alpha village, we still have a lab built just for me. "Bakit ka nga pala nandoon sa UHT?" tanong ko kay Blu na kanina pa tahimik at nag-iiwas ng tingin sa akin.

"I just got enrolled in the university, my Lady. Then my family was invited to the Dean's birthday celebration. And I caught sight of the rangers and exactly knew where you there." Sagot niya kaya ngumiti ako. He even managed to answer questions that I haven't even asked yet.

"How's Lucas?" tanong ko dahil hindi nila binanggit sa akin ang lagay niya. He was severely injured after fighting Blu. "He's currently being treated at King Duke's house here in the village, my Lady. Lady Chloe asked the Queen's permission to bring him here," aniya.

Tumingin ako sa kanya. Blu always had a way of talking to someone and making them feel at ease. Could it be because of his voice? Or just the gentle way that he talks?

"Your new hair color looks nice, by the way." Nakangiti kong sabi sa kanya kaya ngumiti rin si Blu at tumingin sa akin.

"Everyone knows that I'm a living poison now. I wonder what would they say about it." I wasn't exactly talking to Blu. I was just talking out loud. It was a habit of mine to say what I think. Tiningnan ko ang kamay ko.

You're a nice creature, Zia. They should not fear me. They won't talk badly about me, right? I'll be living like the rest of them, right? I'm good. I'll be good.

The sun was up. Dad, Chloe, and the others must be resting right now. Blu was also given the guest room for him to stay in. Lumabas na ako sa lab at saka ako umakyat sa bubong ng bahay namin. I let the sun touch my skin. I felt the warmth and smiled.

It feels good to be alive.

"Hoy! Ba't ka nandiyan?" tiningnan ko si Wilder na kalalabas lang ng bahay nila at may dala-dalang baseball gloves. Ngumiti ako sa kanya.

"Zia, don't expose yourself in too much sunlight, okay?" paalala ni Mommy sa akin mula sa baba. Tumango ako at tiningnan na si Kuya Xy na kalalabas lang din ng bahay at may dala nang baseball bat. I don't know if it's a family tradition but we always play baseball. I mean, they always play baseball.

Hindi naman kasi nila ako hinahayaang maglaro. I'm just part of the audience.

"Dude, call him. Ang tagal niya." Reklamo ni Wilder kaya kinuha ni Kuya Xy ang cellphone niya at may tinawagan.

"Hoy! Unggoy na bumubuga ng apoy! Asan ka na?" mahina akong natawa dahil sa sinabi ni Kuya. Bakit ba kasi ganyan sila mag-usap ni Kuya Ash? Kuya Xy was playing with the baseball bat on his right hand habang nakikinig siya sa mga sinasabi ni Kuya Ash mula sa kabilang linya.

"Dude, inuuna mo na pala ang date ngayon kesa sa amin?" natatawang tanong ni Kuya Xy kaya agad namang lumapit si Wilder sa kanya. Date? "Pre, 'di kayo bagay ni Azura!" Panunukso ni Wilder at kinuha ang cellphone ni Kuya Xy. Ahh, Kuya Ash and Princess Azura are together right now? They'd look good together.

A dragon's genes are magnificent. All of them look nice.

"Zia, wanna play with us?" Tiningnan ko lang si Kuya Xy at saka ako umiling bilang sagot. After all this time of not letting me play, Kuya Xy is now permitting me. Maybe it's because of the poison in me. Tumalon nalang ako pababa at pumasok sa bahay.
