Princess Veronika of Denmark, Countness of Monpezat, RE, SKmd (Veronika Christina Þórhildur Astrid; born 7 December 1988 at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen) is the only daughter of Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik.
Veronika is eleventh in the line of succession to the Danish throne, following her eldest brother, Crown Prince Frederik, Frederik's four children, her elder brother, Prince Joachim and Joachim's four children.
Veronika was born at Rigshospitalet the Copenhagen University Hospital in Copenhagen, on 7 December 1988, to Queen Margrethe, oldest daughter of Frederick IX, and Prince Henrik.
She was baptized on 24 January 1989, at Holmens Kirke, in Copenhagen. She was christened Veronika.
Her mother tongue is Danish. In addition she is fluent in French (his father's language), English, Spanish and German.
Princess Veronika attended school as a private pupil from 1993 until 1995 at Amalienborg Palace and then from 1995 until 2001 at Krebs' Skole in Copenhagen. She attended The University of Edinburgh and graduated in 2011.
Titles and styles
As Princess of Denmark, Veronika is entitled to the style "Her Royal Highness".
