Chapter 8

Jai pov :

Rithi start telling me "I went to lab for a file when I was taking one file out another bunch of files fell down I took them and re-arranged but two files caught my attention" she stopped and took a long breath.

"I saw these two are same file so I compared these two then I realise this file was related to same case. someone is changed files but forgot original file here so I quickly take photos and send to lab incharge prathap sir and I put that file in same place and about to go out from the room but I saw someone was coming" she said and took deep breath.

"So I hide somewhere I saw a men come and take original file and went away" she said wiping her tears I handover napkin she take it and continued.

"I immediately came outside of the collage then these two men are following me I think that man saw me so I call you and rest of that you know" she said.

I handed her water bottle she take and drank. I sighed "so do you know who is he" I asked her "I don't know and there is rule in collage that only collage staff and students is allowed inside the lab" she said I think he is one of them.

"So what's in that file" I asked her "it was a murder case but they try to create as suicide" she said I sighed and start car drive to rithika house. I stopped car outside of her house but she was sleeping

"Rithi" I called her but she didn't move I shook her shoulder she flinched and looked at me with teary eyes I think she went into shock "hey it's okay! It's me" I said caressing her cheek.

She looked at me sometime and got down from car I also got down from car when she entered inside she engulfed by her brother she hugged him I saw my family is also present here.

I saw rithi was smiling at her family lovingly I think she forget about her worries. She looked beautiful when she laughed.

I went into kitchen for water I poured some water on glass and drank "thanks" I hear from my behind and I turn back I saw rithika looking on floor.

I kept the glass on table and move close to her "for what" I asked raising an eyebrow "for—-for saving me" she said looking into my eyes.

"Don't thank me rithi, it's my responsibility" I said and cupped her face, I don't know why but I love holding her.

Argh.. what happened to me

Rithika pov :

I was lost in his eyes that i forget my worries for a second he was so close to me I could hear my heartbeat sound "ritu, Jai" I heard aunty calling us.

I take a step back and went to living room not looking at ram I went and sat between maa and aunty.

"Ritu forget about this and take rest we are leaving" aunty said caressing my head I smiled at her "and tomorrow we are going to shopping for your engagement" maa said.

I feel Ram gaze on me I didn't dare to look at him because of the close proximity that we shared back I just nodded "Okay bye ritu" aunty said and hugged me warmly after they left I went to my room.

I have to take shower my dress cover with dust I turn on shower, cold water hit my body I let fall my tears.

What if ram didn't come on time?

They should've kill me!

Why would this happen to me am I doing bad?

Or this society who have cunning mind!
