Kara's POV

When we got home, it was a little time before lunch so I went to my room to chill for the meanwhile.

I opened the door to meet Gavin right in front of me.

"Hey. How ya doin"

"Oh I  don't know, peachy . Now get outta my face" I reply snarkily

He raised his hands to signify he means no harm.

I plop down  on my bed and he does the same, only the bed doesn't go in.

"Sooo what's that on your wrist?" He asks lazily and stares at the ceiling. Only then did I notice the blisters on his neck and his arms. Well he did say he died through arson.

"Its a gift. From Mona, you know her right?"

"Yea duh, I've lived with them in this house for about a hundred years or so, I know every single one of 'em. Damien, the sad and lonely first born, Mona, the peppy and always cherry second born, Casper the mute but cute last born. And finally Mrs Mongul, well Millie, the awkward and overbearing talkative mom" Gavin listed off with his fingers

"Hey what about Mr Mongul? My supposed dad?" I ask. I haven't seen him or heard of him at all.

"Well..he's abroad. He's never home. Like out of the hundred years I've spent here, I've seen him like only ten times. And that's saying a lot" He replied

"Well okay. So..how exactly did you die?"

He chuckled "Your always full of so many questions, Kara"

"No I'm not, it just started when I moved here. With all your weird stories and names" I state in a matter of fact tone.

"Whatever. Well as I've told you before, I died of arson. But ya see, it wasn't a normal fire. It was a raging fire that couldn't be quenched by anything . You know why? Because the gem that I gave Lydon, she turned it into a wishing Stone for fire. Unquenchable fire. So it was never ordinary. So at the end, she used it to kill me so there won't be any evidence. Right now I'm the only one - and well you - that knows the true story of how Lydon got her powers back" He finished. He was already standing up and walking around the room.

Wow. " Wow" I said voicing my thoughts.

"Yup. Now my question, why would Mona give you a wishing stone?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"What? No, its a normal charm bracelet. Not a wishing stone silly"

He laughed "No it is a wishing stone. Did I forget to mention to you that lucky humans found the wishing stones after Amille scattered them around the world and turned them to jewelry? Oh well now you know"

"Anything else your forgetting to tell me?" I ask slightly angry

"Not that I remember right now...any who, let's get the stone charged!" He said using his 'ghostly manipulation' powers to bring the Prohexis to me

"What the hell?" A voice boomed from the door

"Damien?" I said as he looked from the floating prohexis to me

So your telling me, that There's some ghost named Gavin, that's lived in my house for the past century, using his ghostly manipulations to give you this prohexis thingamabob so you can charge this wishing stone that Mona supposedly gave you?" Damien summarized with an eyebrow raised
