“So cold Hisayo.” Akio dramatically spoke as he held his hand over his heart. He chuckled and started serving the meal.

Hisayo quickly ate her food and cleaned her dishes before picking up her blades and putting her sandals back on. It seemed as though Akio had only taken two bite while she had done all of that.

“Why the rush, Hisayo?!” Akio hollered with a laugh as she made a hasty exit. The only reply he received was a small wave and light slamming of the door.

He just shook his head and smiled before eating his own food.

“..and then he took me out for some ramen! Iruka-sensei isn’t so bad after all. I guess I should lay off the pranks with him…maybe.” Naruto grinned as he lightly swung in his swing.

Hisayo continued to just sit and listen to him. This was the first he ever spoke of anyone in the village doing anything for him. She hoped that this ’Iruka-sensei’ would continue being kind and not turn around and crush the boy’s feelings like everyone else had. If he so much as gave Naruto a glare, she would be there in a heartbeat to set him straight, just like she had done with that one villager when she had first met Naruto. That thought brought her to what she had wanted to let Naruto know.

“Let Akio-sensei know if you need anything or are in trouble. He will inform me.” She looked down at Naruto to see him nod.

“You know Akio-sensei?” Naruto questioned loudly after a few moments in thought.

“He is my sensei. We both came to this village together.” Hisayo found talking to the boy easier today. Was it because of earlier when she had talked to the Hokage? She couldn’t be sure what was giving her the confidence and ability to speak so clearly and without fault.

“Oh…um, hope he hasn’t told you anything bad that I have…um, done.” Naruto scratched the back of his neck and hoped that she hadn’t been told of his continuous pranks against her sensei. She might not be too pleased about that.

Hisayo gave a small smirk. She knew what he meant.

Every day, Akio would tell her of what kind of pranks Naruto constantly tried to pull on him. Akio would then think of what the boy might try the next day at the academy.

“It’s good that you keep sensei on his toes, Naruto. He might get out of shape if you didn‘t.” Hisayo stood from her swing as Naruto gave a laugh in relief.

“Are you leaving already? You just got here!” Naruto stopped laughing and furrowed his eyebrows in disappointment.

“I’m simply stretching my legs.” Hisayo assured the saddened boy.

“Good, ‘cause I didn’t get to the best part of my day!” Naruto excitedly spoke with a slight mischievous chuckle.

Hisayo turned to face the boy and looked down at him with suspicion. “Who is the victim this time?” She was now familiar with what that certain chuckling meant.

He giggled and gestured for her to get closer. She carefully leaned in. She wouldn’t be surprised if he tried playing a prank on her as well. “The Hokage!” He whispered while trying to suppress laughter.

Hisayo blinked in bewilderment. Was he kidding? There was no way he would dare to do that to the Hokage of all people. Would he?

 Meanwhile…

The Third Hokage wiped away the ink that had wildly squirted in his face. He had taken out his calligraphy set from his drawer and opened it up only to have this result. He tried to stay calm, but once he found his ink had been swapped out for permanent ink, he couldn’t help but yell.
