Susie went back to school after two days of staying home and crying over something she had absolutely no control over yet that didn't change the fact that she wasn't hurt at what her two greatest friends did to her in such a short amount of time.

However, that morning, Susie stood before her full-length mirror, the house was dead silent for her father had already left for work, and she stared at her rather crummy appearance. She wore her sweats she had practically lived in those two days, a plain white t-shirt was tucked slightly into her sweats, and, instead of looking white, it looked more off white than actual white. Not to mention, her hair was a tangled mess she had given up on and tied in a bun atop her head, her eyes were swollen and red from crying so much and the bags under her eyes couldn't possibly be more real.

She was seriously considering staying home again but she knew that whatever happened she couldn't let it get in the way of her and her education. Taking a deep breath, she smiled widely at herself in the mirror, telling herself to look especially killer today to show them they couldn't and wouldn't get in the way of her and her goals she still had for this school year.

Without further hesitation, she went into her bathroom, turning the shower on, stripping her gross clothes off, untying her bun, and stepping into the shower. She let the water run over her, the hot water running over her tense shoulders, her long hair, over the rolls on her back, over her plump tummy and thick thighs, and yet she was beginning to feel slightly better. Finishing up, she stepped out and brushed her teeth, flossing and using mouthwash to wash her rotten-pizza smelling breath away. Slowly, she plucked some of her eyebrow hairs, wincing after each hair was plucked, her eyes watering when the right one had been plucked.

Stepping out of the bathroom she put on her underwear first, of course, and put her outfit on for the day. She tugged on a pair of skinny denim jeans that had rips all over the thighs and knees and then she placed on a deep green off-the-shoulder long-sleeve that had barely went down and covered her belly. Stepping in front of the mirror, she removed the towel that was on her head, her wet-hair cascading down over her outfit.

She stared in awe at the mirror, loving how the outfit seemed to draw out her wide hips and, somehow, conceal her chubby tummy. Plus, the shirt revealed her collarbones which were hardly seen over the excess chunk on her chest, but, when she moved her arms the right way they became much more noticeable and she squealed with excitement. She ran her hand through her hair, leaving it to dry messily and stepped back into her bathroom, applying only a bit of concealer over her bags and her acne scars, putting on some blush and highlighter, fixing and filling her brows in as well.

Stepping out, she tied on her high-top black converse and grabbed her bag and phone, looking herself in the mirror for the last time, smiling only slightly this time as she thought of Kristina and Charlie. Shaking her sadness away, she smiled yet again, wider than before, and rushed out of her room and down the stairs, grabbing a pear on her way out.

She stuffed her earbuds in her ears, walking to school with the sound of her music playing which, to her poor luck, happened to be all her sad music playing, only proceeding to remind her of the cold hard truth. She missed Kristina and Charlie during those two days and she didn't want to not be their friend anymore, even if they betrayed her. She loved them to death and couldn't imagine herself spending this senior year without them at her side.

With each step she took closer to the school her mood became drearier and drearier. A dark cloud suddenly hanging over her head by the time she stepped foot on campus. She entered, trying her very best to ignore the stares she received as she walked to her locker, grabbing her items for the day and removing her earbuds.

"Susie," said a rather familiar voice, a voice she didn't know she had missed. She turned around, smiling sadly at her friends Kristina, whom stood there looking very, very guilty. "I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have lied to you and betrayed out pact like we did I just--"
