"The day passed by so quickly," I said as I hugged Daniel. We were both in the airport waiting for my mom and dad. He was grumpy but he knew better than saying anything.

He liked my parents and all but all he saw that time was that they were taking my time which he believed was 'his'. Actually at some points, I wasn't all that happy with him claiming everything over me but at the sametime, I loved spending every single breath with him.

Daniel was my mate. The man I should be spending my entire life with. The guy who would probably defend me with his life to his last breath that if he didn't come to defend me. I laughed slight as I imagined a phantom coming to take back what was 'his'. Oh my god! That would be fun.

"What are you laughing at?!" Daniel asked looking at me. I looked at him and then answered, "You!"

That was an honest answer that I didn't actually intend on saying. I would have said something like, "Things!" or "Someone" but never you. I didn't know what came over me. That was when it struck. He could read my thoughts then why was he asking?! I looked at him and found him bursting down in laughter. I gave him my worst glare and then he let go of his last laugh and then he looked at me.

I looked at him with the same glare but apperantly, it didn't work because he laughed more actually. I just rolled my eyes and then waited for him to be down. I just sighed when he stopped and then he was like, "Baby, look! I want you to actually think about that offer. I want to live with you. I want to have you next to me at all times. I don't know how things would go with your parents but just you know, all that matters to me is what you think. Someday they will agree, but I can never force you to do anything you're uncomfortable with."

I smiled and he sighed and kissed my forehead before he continued," I can never imagine my life with someone else, and I know you can't as well. Living together would be a large step for us because well maybe we do that now, but it's never our home. Do you want to know what I think when I look at you?!"

I nodded and then he continued," I think about two words our and us. Our as our relationship, and soon our home, and then our children, not to mention our marriage. As for us I think about us as a family. You, I and someone I can call ours."

My body melted but at the same time I was scared. That was too much actually. I knew that Daniel was serious about us and all but we were still young, or I was still young. I was eighteen and Daniel was nineteen. We were in no state to be parents. I knew that he would respect whatever I wanted but I didn't want him to be mad at me. I trusted him but I wanted us to be ready.

'Us' I thought. I would never look at that word the same after what he said. Daniel was always serious about his. I remembered him having doubts about our future but never our love, but now that we were mates, I could never recall anything that Daniel was that serious about.

We were always comfortable around each other. There was no show offs, no diamonds, no fake staff, just us. I looked at him and I immediately felt a smile running on my lips. I looked at him in the eyes and all I saw was honesty. I loved him. I loved him too much. It hurt. I looked at his eyes and immediately got lost.

"I love you. I want to have all that with you. I have waited so long to have you. I love you and I can't never think about anything when you're with me. I am willing to give you my all and take your all, but you just have to wait for me to be ready. I had never thought about any one other than you and I would never will. You got me hooked, and I love you for being there in my heart even when you weren't there physically," I found out that I was actually talking the entire time. I hugged him close and then said," You probably heard all my thoughts and what I actually think about everything but just you know that if I am certain about anything in my life, it would be you. I have always thought that we had that connection."

"Yes, baby girl, we do," he said and then hugged me. I felt safe, warm, loved and protected. Things I would have never felt without my very own mate.

"Leah! Daniel!" I heard someone call. I looked behind and found my parents. A tear left my eyes and then I left my mate's embrace and then hugged my parents. I loved them too much. I missed them.

"Aww, my baby!" my mom said and then hugged me and kissed my forehead.

"Hey! I thought I was your baby," my dad said and I laughed. My mother and I dried our tears. My dad hugged me and mom said hi to Daniel. I smiled and then they said, "Thanks Daniel for taking care of Leah for us."

"It's my job, there is no need to thank me. Your daughter is my girlfriend, lover and mate and protecting my mate is practically my duty," Daniel replied and I gave him a warm thanking smile.

"I told you our daughter has the best mate out there, just like her mom who has the best husband," mom said and cuddled to dad.

"Yes, she does, and so does her mom," my dad said and kissed mom's forehead. The height difference making them look so adorably cute.

"So, Daniel, wanna have dinner at our house?!" mom asked and I immediately looked at her with so much excitement. I was really happy. Daniel looked rather surprised but he nodded and then he said, "I would love to!"

"Yes! Now, come on kids. We have to go home," mom said and walked hand in hand with dad. I linked my hand to Daniel's and then I saw dad glaring at our hands but mom put him in place with that glare. Dad liked Daniel but he hated any guy who came close to me. I remembered him saying that I was never allowed to marry any guy or be in a relationship but mom shot him a nice glare and actually prevented him from sleeping with her. The expression on his face couldn't have been discribed. He looked betrayed. I laughed at the memory.

Daniel smiled and then kissed my forehead and then we caught up to mom and dad. They kept telling us about their trip and I told them about what happened. Daniel tensed at Paul's part and I could see dad's frastration too. Mom held me the entire time as Daniel and dad were actually not in a state to see anything but red. If anything, my dad and Daniel agreed about me. They both cared. I looked at both of them and then I started talking about our stay at Daniel's house trying to lighten up the atmosphere which actually worked. Everyone wore a smile except Daniel who was actually embarrassed and I was pretty happy. My mom started telling him about my story as she said, "My son in law needs someone to back him up."

Mom told him about that one time when I was mad and I actually intented on hitting my dad with a hot pot. Daniel burst down laughing and when I glared at him, he made fun of me. Mom also told him about that game that I was really nervous about and how I ended up kicking the ball in a boy's privates. Daniel really turned red from laughing. He kept teasing me about it. Mom showed him my first show when I was in grade two and he actually kept saying how cute I was. It was pretty much funny. We took pictures and mom showed him my albums. She really did take his payback. What a mother! She practically took my boyfriend's side.

I helped mom with dinner and then we ate safely. I was really happy with my favourite three people here but for some reasons I was still feeling weird. I had a strong feeling that things wouldn't always be that happy and simple.
