Chapter 27

"You're baaaack!" Lizzie yells and jumps into my arms as soon as I enter the flat. "I have missed you!!"

"Missed ya too!" I hug Jack, Scott, Killian and Stefan as well. I did miss my crazy flatmates. I introduce them to my brother and we actually have a nice night catching up. I try not to ask them about Hero and I'm glad when Scott brings him up. He hasn't heard from him either.

The next day my brother insists on going shopping for New Year's Eve. He buys a little black dress for me. It's has a halter top, leaving my back completely bare and it's really short. He also gives me a new pair of black heels.

"It's your birthday soon so this is your gift!"

We get dressed and the preparty starts soon. Lizzie has curled my long brown hair again and I put some light make-up on. Megan joins us as well but Nikki is still at home. We have a really nice time and we all get along well. Just before midnight we enter Glam. We order some drinks and find a nice spot close to the dj.

"You look so beautiful today!" Killian says in my ear while we're dancing.

"So do you! You look so hot in a suit!" I know it's the alcohol talking but he really does look hot. He has a cute smile on his face as if he's a bit shy when I compliment him.

He's still dancing with me when the countdown starts.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!" Right after I yell 'Happy New Year!!!" Killian puts his hands on my cheeks and stares deep into my eyes. Before I know what's happening he presses his soft lips against mine. I put my hands on his hips and answer his kiss. It's nice. I doesn't give me the same feeling as Hero's kisses but then again, nothing gives me that same feeling. Our kiss lasts for ever and when I finally stop kissing him an angry Hero stares at me from behind Killian.
