Sean-

Sean was confused when he first met you. He was loud and tended to talk really fast so you couldn't always catch up with the lip reading, which left you staring blankly at him. Once he realised that you were deaf, he would try to talk slower around you, just so that you could read his lips. Sean had taken a liking to you and he wanted to get to know you. He didn't care that you were deaf but sometimes he would forget. He just wouldn't think and would shout your name from the other side of the camp before face palming, realising that you couldn't hear him. He would scare the hell out of you by running up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist, you couldn't hear him coming and he nearly gave you a heart attack every time.

Hosea-

Hosea had been one of the most patient people with you in the beginning. He took the time to figure out how he could best communicate. He learnt that you could read his lips but not always perfectly, but other than that writing things down was the best way to speak with you. After loosing your hearing you had a new found love for books, which drew Hosea to you even more than he already was. Knowing Hosea he would go out and find some books on sign language, if he couldn't find any you would just make up your own form of sign language. Hosea and you would make up certain signs that you would often use, making communication a little quicker and easier. Now you could even communicate silently from a fair distance away. Having some for of secret language with you made him feel closer to you.

Kieran-

Since Kieran joined the gang after you had lost your hearing, he didn't know that you were deaf and nobody had thought about informing him. He had tried to introduce himself before but he approached you from behind so you didn't even realise he was there, and he thought that you were ignoring him. That definitely got him flustered. Despite being a little disheartened, he tried to introduced himself again. He walked over to you while you were away from the others and sitting on your own. He relaxed a little when you smiled at him, turning your attention to him. He introduced himself and you just smiled. He had a confused expression when you reached for a notebook and a pencil, writing something down before showing it to him. You explained that you were deaf and that this was usually the easiest way to communicate. Kieran smiled and nodded, now understanding why you had ignored him the last time he tried to talk to you. It didn't bother Kieran at all, he would sit and write to talk to you or let you read his lips if you could.

John-

You being deaf never bothered John but he was just hopeless. He liked you but didn't know how to tell you, and he was pretty sure that he embarrassed himself whenever he talked to you. One night you were both sitting a little away from the rest of the gang members, who were celebrating and drinking. John complained about them being so loud and you read his lips, you just shrugged and gestured towards your ear as if to say "I dunno, John, I'm deaf". John's face instantly turned red as he apologised, silently cursing himself for being so stupid. But he relaxed when you laughed, placing you hand on his, assuring him that everything was fine and that he hadn't offended you in anyway. John could slip up like that quite a lot but it never bothered you, you were comfortable with the fact that you were deaf so his slip ups never affected you, you just thought it was cute how his face would heat up afterwards.

Bill-

Bill wasn't bothered by you being deaf but he didn't know how to handle it. He liked you but wasn't sure how to talk to you, so he had settled for just watching you for a while. You had been the first person to start a conversation. You tapped him on the shoulder and smiled as you slid a notepad towards him, just saying 'hello' and asking him if you could sit with him. He was dumbfounded, you wanted to sit and drink with him? He just nodded at you and you sat down. There was a moment of silence. You saw Bill opened his mouth but he quickly shut it and looked down at the table. You smiled softly as you wrote a note, sliding it back over to him. You told him that you could read lips if he spoke slowly or he could write a message down. Bill nodded once again before actually beginning to talk to you. He knew that it should technically be more difficult to talk with you but he found it so much easier than talking to other people, he enjoyed talking to you. And from that moment your relationship just blossomed.

Lenny-

Lenny was always so sweet to you, he never treated you like you were different to anyone else but he understood that communication with you would be different. He introduced himself to you first, he smiled kindly at you and handed you a written message. The message simply introduced him and asked if he could sit with you. The end of the message also apologised if this was just stupid and if he was being an idiot for writing you a note instead of just talking. You just thought that it was really sweet, but you explained to him that you could decently read lips but writing was the best way since you wouldn't make any mistakes from it. He was just glad that he hadn't embarrassed himself in the first five minutes of talking to you. After that you and Lenny spent a lot of together, just enjoying each other's company.

Strauss-

Leopold was always very polite to you despite you being deaf, he never saw it as any reason to disrespect you or be rude to you. You did plenty for the camp and he respected that. Your relationship started to develop when you started collecting debts for him. Despite respecting you, he never asked you to do a job. You insisted that you were more than capable of collecting debts so he let you do so. He wasn't completely sure how you did it but you never came back empty handed so he didn't care, he was even a little impressed. After that you were the first person he always asked to collect a debt. This led to you both spending a lot of time together.
