Mama Maxine and babies have been very well today! No accidents or incidents, plus Mama is on her last day of panacur for this round and is 6 lb 5 oz now! Yay!
She wouldn't let me get a picture but her mastitis is clearing up, which is really good. She also is clearly very trusting of us too because when we were weighing the kittens we had just finished doing the third one when she went into the carrier and brought out the fourth and gave him to us.
Speaking of the kittens' weights, Gray is 156 g, Skunk is 203 g, Whitey is 190 g, and Bleu is 174 g!
If anyone was wondering what our tracking sheet looks like, here it is. (Hopefully everything is legible)
We also got smart about their bed. Previously we just had an old towel in there that we would change out ever night. We had to change it out because they're basically todlers with no diapers, so naturally it would get pretty dirty pretty quickly. But not anymore! Now we're going to wrap the towel in a puppy pad so we can just change that out instead.
Less laundry this way. It also dawns on me now that since Mama Maxine has been gaining so well and been getting better about eating we probably don't have to give her the nutical anymore.
And thus marks the end of another day. We're getting close to the one week mark so their eyes and ears should be opening soon, so that's exciting! I'll be sure to let you know they do. Anyway, talk to tomorrow! Bye!
