Day 5

Mama Maxine didn't eat much this morning. Luckily when I went in later she had eaten her breakfast, because I give her half a can of wet food in the morning and the other half before bed (plus she has access to dry food and water 24/7), and she ate a decent amount at bedtime as well.

I didn't weigh her tonight because she's been eating well and I've been giving her nutrical (a high calorie nutritional gel) with every half can. I'm also just a bit exhausted right now; I had guests over all day today and may have made a bit too much food.. Woops.. For what it's worth we did weigh her mid-day and she was up 2 oz from yesterday.

Anyway, the kittens. They're all doing well, and Mama Maxine is still on meds. She's done with the pyrantel for now, as it's a once-every-few-days med, but is still on the panacur and clavamox.

As for weights (other than Mama), everyone gained! Gray is up 9 g, Whitey is up 10 g, Skunk is up 24 g, and Bleu is up 3 g.

Still not gaining as much as we would like, but at least they're all still making progress. Gray is the one we're the most worried about but he seems to be doing well over all, although we are still keeping a close eye on him, and the others too of course.

Today we also found out lil Bleu doesn't really like being held. As I said we had guests over, and of course they all loved the little ones, but Bleu would yell every time anyone tried to hold him. It could just have been because he was hungry or tired or possibly just confused about what was going on, so we left him to rest for the most part.

Well that's all for today! Hope you enjoyed reading, and as always I will be back tomorrow. Talk to you later! Peace!
