"Mom can I go to the mall?" I ask
"Yes, but be back by 1" mom says
"Thanks!" I say
I grab my keys and head out the door, The drive to the mall is quick. I park the car and go inside. As I walk around I notice a guy in the music store.
"Can I try it out?" He asks referring to a guitar
He picks up the guitar and starts playing. This kid is amazing at the guitar!
I go in and look at the music books to see if there's any new music I should get. I go to grab a copy but someone else reaches for it.
"You can take that one" he says
"Oh thanks" I say
"Were you the one checking out the guitars?" I ask
"I was" he says
"you sounded amazing" I say
"Thanks" he smiled "my names shawn"
"I'm Amanda" I say
"Well Amanda, wanna hang out?" Shawn asks
"sure" I say
Shawn and I leave the music store and shawn leads the way.
"Where exactly are we going?" I ask
"Well I figured why not grab some lunch then hit the arcade" shawn says
"Alright cool" I say
Shawn and I get a cheesesteak and pretzel from the food court then find a seat.
"The pretzels here are so good" I say
"Heavenly" shawn adds
"So you're into music" I say
"I am, I post videos on vine of my music" shawn says
"That's awesome" i say
"What about you, do you play anything?" Shawn asks
"Guitar, piano, and I use my voice" I say
"Wow I need to hear this one day" shawn says
"Go on iTunes and search strong then go to the albums tab" I say
"Okay..." Shawn says
Shawn pulls up my album and plays my song stronger.
"Wait, is this you?" He asks
"Yup" I say
"You're amazing" shawn says
"Thanks" I say
I take our trash and throw it away then go back to the table.
"Did you just buy my album?" I ask
"Maybe" shawn smiles
I laugh and we head to the arcade.
"Kareoke?" Shawn asks
"Sure" I say
I pick give your heart a break for us to sing and before long a crowd of people is watching.
"You're shawn Mendes" one girl screams
"Who cares that's Demi lovatos daughter" another one screams
Shawn and I look at each other and make a break for it. We end up sneaking out of the mall and to my car.
"That was crazy" shawn says
"I'm used to it but nobody usually freaks about me" I say
"So now what?" Shawn says
"I actually have to head home" I say
"Oh alright" shawn says
"Do you need a ride home?" I ask
"Would that be too much to ask?" Shawn asks
"No of course not, let me just let my mom know real quick" I say
I send mom a quick text then I start driving. My mom texted me back so I asked shawn to reply.
"Alright we're here" I say
"Okay cool thanks" shawn says
"No problem" I say
Once shawn gets inside I drive home. I don't actually know why mom wanted me home by 1 but whatever.
"I'm home" I yell
"I need you to watch Tristan while marissa and I run some errands" Mom says
"Oh okay" I say
Marissa and mom head out and I go up in my room. As I watch tv I get a text.
Shawn: hey 😉
Me: hey 👋
Shawn: I'm bored :(
Me: I'm watching my brother
Shawn: and I have to go help with groceries yay
Me: have fun 😂
Shawn: 😏
Tristan starts crying so I put my phone down and go get him.
"Hi buddy" I smile
"Mana" he says
I bring Tristan downstairs to play for a bit while I start making dinner. But marissa takes over once they get back.
