Part 23 - Alvin Is Getting Worse and Slowly Losing His Mind

In Space, On The Planet Venguna
Inside The Spaceship
Towelie had just landed the Spaceship on Venguna and Theodore and Eleanor were getting ready to leave the Spaceship and explore the planet
"We are here! On the new planet! That didn't take us long at all" Theodore pointed out
"Simon and Jeanette did say we were close to the planet though" replied Eleanor with a giggle
"Are you ready to go?" Asked Eleanor
"I will be...I'm just going to use the toilet first" replied Theodore
Once Theodore had left, Jeanette came around the corner
"Hey Jeanette, are you and Simon coming to explore too? And what about Alvin and Brittany?" Asked Eleanor
"Me and Simon are going to stay onboard the Spaceship for a while. Alvin's not too good since the effects of the poisonous dart have accelerated quicker then I expected. Now Brittany is looking after him in their room while me and Simon are going to continue making an antidote" explained Jeanette
"OMG! I knew Alvin wasn't right when we saw him and Brittany earlier. Is Alvin going to be OK? Is there anything I can do to help?" Asked Eleanor
"Alvin's not brilliant...but don't worry too much about him, me and Simon should be able to make an antidote in time for him. Anyway, you and Theodore go and enjoy yourselves while exploring this new planet" replied Jeanette with a smile
"Thanks, we will do sister. If you need me and Theodore to come back at any time, just send me a quick message" replied Eleanor with a smile
"Will do sister and see you later, the two of you enjoy yourselves" said Jeanette
"Thanks and good look with the antidote" finished Eleanor
Theodore then came around the corner and joined Jeanette and Eleanor
"I'm ready to go now. Hopefully we can find some food soon...I'm so hungry" replied Theodore
Eleanor smiled at Theodore "Is food all you think about?" Joked Eleanor
"No, course not. I care about you a lot and would choose to be with you then eat food any day" replied Theodore
"I should hope so. Come on then if your ready, I'm ready to go too" called Eleanor
Theodore and Eleanor left the Spaceship and were both ready to explore Venguna, while Jeanette went back to Simon in the small lab area
Meanwhile in Alvin and Brittany's room, Brittany had put Alvin back in bed and was sat on a chair next to him
"Brittany, I said I'm fine. You go and have fun with your sisters" called Alvin
"Your not fine Alvin and I said I will look after you and see my sisters later" replied Brittany
Alvin sighed and there was silence for a few seconds
"Strawberries" called Alvin
"What?" Asked Brittany in confusion
"I smell strawberries. I can definitely smell them, where are they coming from? Can you smell them too?" Asked Alvin
"No I can't smell strawberries. Are you sure it's strawberries you can smell and not me?" Asked Brittany
Alvin didn't reply, just gave Brittany a confused look
"You know, when certain animals mate with each other the male gets attracted by the appearance and scents given off by the female which makes them both...you know have 'it' together. Also, females are more fertile and sexually active when they are in season" explained Brittany
"I really don't know what your talking about...have you seen my parents today?" Asked Alvin
Brittany shook her head "No I haven't seen your parents today. You have asked me that five times today now" replied Brittany
"Sorry, I didn't think I asked you" replied Alvin
"Don't worry, I can't stay mad at you for long" replied Brittany
"Are you going to have something to eat with us later when Theodore and Eleanor come back with some food?" Asked Brittany
"I d-don't k-kno...k-kno...I...I..." Started Alvin
"You don't know yet? Is that what your trying to say?" Asked Brittany
"Yeah that's it. I couldn't get my words out" replied Alvin
"Do you want to come with me for a quick walk just outside the Spaceship?" Asked Brittany
"No I can't do that. People will see me" replied Alvin in a worried voice
"Since when have you been worried about people? You are always confident and want attention" Brittany pointed out
"You must have me mixed up with someone else. I don't like people at all" replied Alvin
Brittany had a confused look on her face
She was about to question Alvin about what he had just said, but she just shook her head and left it
"Do you want to watch TV with me then in the games room? There is probably some kind of sport on" asked Brittany
"No, I don't want to watch any sport or TV! Stop asking me questions about doing stuff with YOU! I don't want to do anything with YOU! I don't care about YOU! Just let me be on my own and let me sleep!" shouted Alvin in an angry voice
"Alvin, please don't shout at me. I am here to help and take care of you. What's with the sudden change in attitude? Why don't you want me to help you?" Asked Brittany
"STOP ASKING ME QUESTIONS! LEAVE ME ALONE!" shouted Alvin in an angry voice
Alvin got his claws out and started growling at Brittany
Brittany slowly stepped backwards towards the door, not letting her eyes leave Alvin's sight
Brittany felt fear from Alvin, something she had never felt before while been around him
"Ok...I'm leaving you alone now..." Said Brittany in a worried voice
Alvin got out of bed and got down on all four feet
It looked like he was going to launch himself at Brittany
Brittany quickly opened the door and left the room in seconds
After Brittany closed the door behind her, she heard Alvin scream in pain and punching the door
"That door should be strong enough to hold Alvin...he should give up soon and go back to bed. I can't believe what he just did though...he has never growled at me or tried to attack me before. He has told me to leave him alone a few times in the past, but that's when we used to argue about stupid things a lot. He is becoming more mindless and even worse, more vicious and violent every minute" Brittany thought to herself
Brittany felt tears run down her face
She whipped her eyes and started walking towards the small lab
Once Brittany had made it to the small lab, she knocked on the door and entered the room
"Hey Brittany, how are you and Alvin doing?" Asked Simon
"Not too good, is Jeanette here?" Asked Brittany
"Yeah, she is just over there" replied Simon pointing over at the table
Brittany went over to her sister and called "Hey Jeanette"
"Oh, hi Brittany how are things? Is Alvin resting right now?" Asked Jeanette
"No the opposite really. He was awake before I left the room, but Alvin is getting worse. He is slowly losing his mind and becoming more vicious and violent by the minute!" Replied Brittany
"Well I did say Alvin will get worse...but the antidote is nearly finished now" explained Jeanette
"Alvin tried to attack ME! He growled at me, started shouting and then got out his claws and was ready to leap off the ground and attack me!" Explained Brittany
"No way, Alvin would never hurt you. He loves you too much" said Simon
"Well he did, I'm been serious. If I spent any longer in the room he would have hurt me. The poisonous cells must have taken over most of his mind now and I know Alvin would never hurt me in his right mind" replied Brittany
"I believe you sister and your right, Alvin would never hurt you normally" said Jeanette
"So how much longer till the antidote is ready?" Asked Brittany
There was a short silence till Jeanette spoke again
"There we go! It's finished! The antidote is ready now. I told you me and Simon had a high chance of making an antidote before Alvin turned into a monster" replied Jeanette with a giggle
"So can I give this to Alvin now? Will it definitely work and cure him?" Asked Brittany in a worried voice
"I wouldn't say definitely but it has a high chance of working" replied Jeanette
"If I had to give you an honest answer I would say it has about an 80% chance of working...which is quite high if you ask me" called Simon
"I hope your both right, I couldn't stand the thought of losing Alvin and him turning into a monster" admitted Brittany
Jeanette passed Brittany the antidote and Brittany said "Thank you so much sister, your the best! I couldn't have saved Alvin without you"
Jeanette gave Brittany a hug "It's not a problem Brittany, we are sisters and I would do anything to help you out like you would for me"
Brittany and Jeanette stopped hugging and Brittany looked over at Simon
"Thank you for helping Jeanette out with the antidote Simon" said Brittany
"No problem Brittany, after all Alvin is my brother and I don't want to lose him" replied Simon
"Do you want one of us to go with you? For when you give Alvin the antidote?" Asked Jeanette
"No I think I will be fine, but thanks for asking" replied Brittany
"Ok, be careful though sister...I wouldn't want you getting hurt" called Jeanette
Brittany nodded, left the small lab and started walking back towards her and Alvin's room
Once Brittany got back to her and Alvin's room, Brittany slowly opened the door
The room was silent. Alvin wasn't at the door anymore so Brittany guessed he was back in bed
Brittany continued to slowly open the door and made her way inside the room
She saw Alvin sleeping on the bed and slowly approached him
"Alvin...Alvin, it's me Brittany. Are you awake?" Asked Brittany in a calm voice
Alvin opened his eyes and sat up in bed
"Hey Brittany, where did you go?" Asked Alvin
"Just for a quick walk" replied Brittany sitting down on the bed
"Oh right, didn't know if you told me" replied Alvin
Brittany held the antidote out to Alvin
"Here Alvin, take this. It will make you feel better" said Brittany
"But I told you I'm not ill, I'm fine" replied Alvin
Alvin then felt a small pain and let out an "Ow!"
"What's wrong? Are you OK?" Asked Brittany in a worried voice
"Yeah I'm fine, just a small pain that's all" replied Alvin
"We'll take this, it will take the pain away" said Brittany with a smile
Alvin smiled back and took the antidote
He quickly drank the liquid inside the bottle and started coughing afterwards
"That tasted disgusting! What was that?" Asked Alvin
"Just a new kind of pain killer" lied Brittany
"Well I don't want that again" replied Alvin
Brittany started to giggle "OK I won't give it you again. Just remember, I gave it you to make you feel better"
"Thanks Brittany, I think I will go back to sleep now" said Alvin
"OK cool, will see you later then Alvin" replied Brittany getting back on her feet and walking towards the door
Brittany waited till Alvin was laid down in bed before leaving the room
20 Minutes Later...
About 20 minutes after Brittany left the room, Alvin sat up in bed
Alvin felt dizzy and started to shiver
He got out of bed and started to wobble
"W-What's...going...on?...." Alvin said out loud
Alvin then felt a massive pain and fell to the ground
He screamed in pain and was using his strength to stay on all four paws
"I...I thought...Brittany said...ah!...it would make...ow!...me feel better!" Alvin said out loud
Alvin then screamed in pain again, but had managed to stay on all four paws still
However, Alvin's transformation into a monster had begun
