Part 5 - Fun At The Gym!

Saturday, Same Day, 11:50am, At The Gym
Alvin Brittany Theodore and Eleanor had just arrived at the gym after a 15 minute walk from Dave's House
The four of them made there way over to the two benches near the entrance and sat down for a few minutes
"That didn't take long to get to the gym" admitted Brittany
"Yea I know, I told you it was a short walk sister" replied Eleanor with a giggle
"I think the longest it ever took for me and Eleanor to walk to the gym was 40 minutes" called Theodore
"40 minutes! What where you two doing to be walking nearly three times the journey to get here!" Asked Alvin in a surprised voice
"Well I got hungry that one time...so we stopped at the local shop and bought a few bags of crisp" replied Theodore
"But I made you work them crisp off when we got here" joked Eleanor
"You nearly killed me with how much exercise you made me do" replied Theodore
Alvin and Brittany started laughing after hearing Theodore's response to Eleanor's friendly joke
"Ok you two, let's forget about that and remember why we are here" Brittany jumped in
"Yea I guess your right...let's go and get changed so we can all start swimming" said Eleanor
The four of them stood up and were walking towards the changing rooms
Eleanor was about to go in the girls changing room and Alvin and Theodore was about to go in the boys changing room till Brittany spoke up
"Me and Eleanor will get changed and meet you two at the swimming pool ok?" Asked Brittany
"Yea that's fine with us" replied Alvin
Theodore nodded back and the four of them went into the appropriate changing rooms
About 10 minutes later, Alvin and Theodore had got there swimming costumes (swimming trunks) on and were putting their clothes into lockers
Once they put their clothes in the lockers they made there way to the pool
"Ok...so who is going in first?" Asked Alvin
"You can go in first if you want Alvin. You are allowed to jump in the pool if you want" replied Theodore
Alvin nodded back at Theodore and sat down on the edge of the pool
He put his paw in the water and it was a little cold
"Why don't you jump in Theodore and I will go in afterwards using the steps" called Alvin
Before Alvin could stand back up, Theodore gave him a push and Alvin went straight into the water
SPLASH! Alvin popped his head back out of the water and glared at Theodore
"Why did you do that? It's freezing in here!" Complained Alvin
"I'm sure it's not that cold once you start swimming" said Theodore
Theodore then walked a few steps to the right before jumping into the pool
"How can you just jump in the pool without worrying about freezing into an ice cube?" Asked Alvin
"I don't know...it's just something I'm more used too now. The more I come swimming with Eleanor the less worried I am about getting in the pool" replied Theodore
Theodore then started swimming from the middle of the swimming pool down to the shallow end
"Hey wait up!" called Alvin
Alvin started swimming after Theodore and the further he swam, the faster he went and the less he worried about the water been cold
Once they both got to the shallow end, Alvin spoke up
"Wow, I'm exhausted already..." Said Alvin getting his breath back
"Really? But that was only a quick warm up" replied Theodore
Alvin had a surprised look on his face
He was about to say something till he was splashed with water
After a bit of coughing Alvin called "Hey! Who was that!"
Eleanor stood on the side of the pool and giggled at Alvin
"It was Brittany silly, who else was jump in the pool and splash you on purpose" joked Eleanor
Alvin turned around and saw Brittany laughing to herself
"Oh come on Alvin, don't look so serious. It was only a joke" replied Brittany
Alvin smiled back at Brittany. He knew it was only a joke and he knew he couldn't stay mad at her for too long
"Hey Alvin, I bet I could swim to the deep end before you" called Brittany
"I don't think you could I'm a fast swimmer" replied Alvin with a grin
"Is that so? I can do anything better then you" joked Brittany
"No you can't" Alvin joked back
"Oh yes I can. Let's have a race and find out" replied Brittany with a cheeky smile
Alvin and Brittany both set off and were making there way to the other end of the pool
They were both going around the same speed so either one of them could win there race
They were both close now to the end of the pool
Alvin put his left arm out and reached for the side and Brittany did the same
Once Alvin touched the side he started cheering
"See I told you I would beat you" said Alvin
"How do you know I didn't grab the side before you?" Asked Brittany
"Because I'm a better and faster swimmer then you" joked Alvin
Brittany gave Alvin a push and said "Let's go back to the shallow end and join Theodore and Eleanor"
Once Alvin and Brittany were back at the shallow end, Eleanor spoke up
"Do you two want to do some swimming tricks with us?" Asked Eleanor
"Yea sure, we will give them a go" replied Alvin
"First we are going to do an underwater somersault. Does everyone know how to do one?" Asked Eleanor
"It's where you do a roll in the water isn't it?" Asked Brittany
"Yea that's right" Theodore jumped in
The four of them gave it a go and while Theodore and Eleanor could do an underwater somersault, Alvin and Brittany were struggling
"It's harder then you think" said Alvin
"Yea I know, Theodore and Eleanor must have had a lot of practice" replied Brittany
"Don't worry you two, practice makes perfect" said Theodore
"Shall we try something else? How about an underwater handstand?" Suggested Eleanor
Alvin Brittany and Theodore nodded and all went under the water
The four of them attempted the underwater handstand and Brittany and Eleanor were the only ones that could do it
"Oh man...I still can't do a handstand underwater..." Said Theodore
"Don't worry bro, I can't neither...it must just be a girl thing" said Alvin
Once Brittany and Eleanor came back up from the water Brittany looked over at Alvin
"Couldn't you do a handstand underwater?" Asked Brittany
"No, me and Theodore couldn't do that just you two girls" replied Alvin
"Oh Eleanor, can we have another go at diving? I want to see if I can dive in now" asked Theodore
"Yea sure" replied Eleanor making her way out of the pool
Theodore got out of the pool and Alvin and Brittany followed
"I will dive in first then you can have try after ok?" Asked Eleanor
Theodore nodded and Eleanor dived into the pool
Theodore attempted to dive into the pool too, but he couldn't dive properly yet
"Oh I still can't dive in" said Theodore in a sad voice
"Don't worry too much Theodore, Eleanor will help and teach you to dive" called Brittany
"So are you going to dive in first?" Asked Alvin
"I thought you was going to dive in first" Replied Brittany
"No I will go after you" said Alvin
"Your not worried about been shown up by a girl are you?" Joked Brittany
"What! No of course not...I will prove it to you now" replied Alvin
Alvin attempted to dive in and to Brittany's surprise, Alvin dived in the pool nearly as good as Eleanor
"Wow, that was impressive Alvin! Great job on that dive!" Called Brittany
Alvin came out of the water and smiled back at Brittany
"Thanks Brittany, you can have a go at diving now" Alvin called back
Brittany had a go at diving in, but like Theodore she couldn't dive properly neither
"Ok so you are better at some things then me Alvin" admitted Brittany
"I know but it's what makes us all different and interesting. If we could all do the same things then life would be very boring" replied Alvin
With that, Alvin Brittany Theodore and Eleanor all spent another hour or two in the swimming pool before getting out to get changed and go home
