Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipmunks in Space!

Part 7 - The Chipmunks and Chipettes Journey To Space Begins!

Tuesday, 9:30am, At Dave's House
It was the next morning and everyone was up before 10am for a change...even Alvin and Brittany
After the Chipmunks and Chipettes had got some clothes and other small items together that they wanted to take with them, they made there way to the rocket
As excited as everyone was about going, Alvin and Brittany still felt a bit sad about going to Space without their kids
Alvin and Brittany had been discussing the idea of taking their kids to Space and it caused the two of them to argue for a couple of hours in the night
However, when it was morning Alvin and Brittany had come to an agreement and had decided that they would leave their kids at home with Dave...but they would both pay Dave there spending money for each and every week he looked after them while they were in Space
Once the Chipmunks and Chipettes had put everything in the rocket that they wanted to take with them, they all went in the kitchen to see Dave
Dave was sat at the kitchen table reading his morning newspaper
The six of them hopped onto the table and Theodore spoke up
"Hey Dave" called Theodore
Dave put down his newspaper and saw the Chipmunks and Chipettes looking at him
"Oh hey everyone, is something wrong?" Asked Dave
"No nothing is wrong Dave" replied Brittany
"We just come to say bye to you before we left" explained Simon
"Oh are you going this morning? I didn't think you was going so soon" Asked Dave
"Yea we are going very shortly" said Jeanette
"But we will be thinking about you all the time Dave" called Theodore
Dave gave a small smile "Guys, I don't know if it makes me a good carer or not to be letting the six of you go to Space but I'm not going to stop you. I want you all to go and enjoy yourselves in Space" explained Dave
"Aw thanks Dave" said Eleanor with a giggle
"Well I guess we will be going now and seeing you when we get back" said Alvin
"Yea Alvin's right, let's go to Space" called Theodore
"Bye Dave" said the Chipmunks and Chipettes together
"Bye everyone, see you all when you get back" Dave called back
The Chipmunks and Chipettes hopped off the table and as they were about to leave, Dave shouted Alvin's name
"Alvin! stay out of trouble" shouted Dave with a small laugh
"Don't worry Dave, I will make sure he stays out of trouble" Brittany called back with a giggle
With that, the six of them left the house and made there way to the garden
"So where are we going first?" Asked Alvin
"Don't know, hope it's cool though" replied Theodore
"Sounds like you two are excited" Eleanor jumped in with a giggle
Once they were in the garden, Simon opened the door to the rocket and Alvin and Theodore run inside
The Chipettes all looked at each other and walked inside the rocket
Once the five of them were inside, Simon entered the rocket and closed the rocket door behind him
"Ok everyone, listen up. Me and Jeanette will be sat in the front two seats and will be flying the rocket since we built it, but it's up to you four where you want to sit...just make sure you all have your seat belts and Spacesuits on" explained Simon
"We got our own Spacesuits?" Asked Brittany
"When did you make them?" Asked Eleanor
"Me and Dave made them the other week, that's why Jeanette asked you all what your size was" replied Simon
"What do we need them for?" Asked Theodore a bit confused
"So we can still breath while we are in Space" replied Eleanor with a giggle
"Won't the air be the same on different planets?" Asked Theodore
"No, the air and atmosphere on different planets will be different to Earth. For example, the moon has different gravity to Earth so you float around more" explained Jeanette
"Anyway, enough about science and stuff...let's get these Spacesuits on and get this show on the road" Alvin jumped in
Simon and Jeanette passed everyone their own Spacesuit and six of them put them on
"Wow it fits perfectly, thanks Jeanette" said Eleanor
"Mine too, thanks sister" said Brittany
"Well it was Simon and Dave that made it but it's ok girls" replied Jeanette
"Come on everyone, sit down...now we are ready to go, let's go" called Theodore
Theodore and Eleanor sat together in the back seats, Alvin sat with Brittany in the middle seats and Simon and Jeanette sat in the front seats
Once the six of them were seated, they all put on their seat belts
After Simon and Jeanette pressed a few buttons, they grabbed hold of the handles and were ready to go
"Ok take off in 5...4...3...2...1, blast off!" Shouted Simon
BOOM! The rocket took off and was heading for Space
As the rocket went higher into the sky and was starting to leave Earth's atmosphere, the air pressure forced the Chipmunks and Chipettes back into their seats
The air pressure was also effecting there faces and the six of them felt like there faces were been crushed
Once the rocket had completely left Earth's atmosphere, everyone felt more back to normal
"Wow, that was such a weird and intense feeling" called Alvin
"I know, I don't really want to do that again" said Brittany
"Hey guys look! It's dark outside and there are just stars now!" called Theodore in an excited voice
"Well we are in Space now Theodore" called Simon
"Will the sky be dark and full of stars when we visit other planets?" Asked Theodore
"More then likely yes...unless our vision of the sky is blocked off by something, like if we are inside a building" explained Jeanette
"I wonder what we will see in Space, I'm so excited just thinking about what kind of other life we will meet" said Eleanor
"I thought you didn't want to come to Space sister" Brittany joked
"Well I still think it will be dangerous but fun too" replied Eleanor
Theodore then took off his seat belt to get a better look out of the window, but to his surprise he started floating
"What's going on? Why can't I touch the ground?" Asked Theodore in a worried voice
"It's nothing to worry about Theodore, it's just different gravity in Space...you see it on films when astronauts go to the moon" replied Eleanor with a giggle
Eleanor took off her seat belt too and was floating around the ship with Theodore
"Wow, this is so cool" called Eleanor
"I don't know...I don't feel completely happy about floating around yet" replied Theodore
Alvin and Brittany then looked at each other
"Shall we join in the fun?" Asked Brittany
"Yea sure" replied Alvin with a smile
Alvin and Brittany both took off their seat belts and they both started floating around the ship as well
"This is so cool, I feel like a superhero" called Alvin
"Yea I know what you mean...it's like we have jumped on a trampoline but haven't come back down yet" explained Brittany
Alvin gave a small grin and made his way towards one of the rocket walls
"Look out criminal, I'm coming to get you" called Alvin jumping off one of the walls of the rocket
Once Alvin was about to come in contact with Brittany, she did a forward role and Alvin missed her
"You will have to try harder then that if you want to catch me, superman!" Brittany called back with a giggle
With that, Alvin Brittany Theodore and Eleanor continued to float and move around the rocket while Simon and Jeanette were flying the six of them to there next destination...a new planet!
