Chapter Twenty Seven~ Sing Off

Michaela's P.O.V

"So, what are we gonna sing?" I asked the four of them. Our teacher in music forced us to sing in an event. She said that a client-something wants to invest in the university. Aside from us, 5X and Fifth Hell are also participating. I sighed at that thought. I really think that it's Mr. Lee's courtesy. 

"Hmm. I don't know..." Binj said. We are a band though, well, we just played at home. Binj is our pianist. I'm the rhythm guitarist, Amanah in drums, Maxine in bass and Cassandra in lead guitar. But, our main vocalist are Maxine and Cassandra. But the three of us still sings though

"Paano kaya kung What Love Really Means? Eh, maganda naman yung message ng kanta?" suggest ni Amanah. Hmm. Okay lang naman siya. 

"I agree. Buti  naman, Amanah at may utak ka na! ." said by Maxine and Amanah just gave her a glare. I couldn't think of something either. Geez, feels like my brain isn't working today. Haiys.

"Then it's settle. What love really mean it is." Cassandra said. We're continuing our food when somebody interrupted us.

"Excuse me?" napatingin kami sa gawi ng isang magandang babae. Hmm. She's the girl who helped Cassandra before. 

"What do you want, Miranda?" napakunot-noo ako sa itinanong ni Cassandra. Does she know this girl.

"Ai! Ang rude mo naman, coz! Anyway, hello sa inyo! I'm Miranda Lee, cousin of this pretty brat right here" she said and taps Cassie's shoulders. We introduced at her. We were having a conversation. Ate Miranda is such a joyful person. She's way more talkative than Amanah and Maxine combined.

"Wait? May pupuntahan pa pala ako. I need to go! Babush!" sabi niya na parang nagpa-panic. Pagkaalis niya ay tumahimik ulit ang table namin. It's our free time. The class are suspended due to event today.

You heard it right. Today is the day we're gonna sing. We don't need to prepare though. We're already good at it. I looked at everyone. Cassandra is looking at her phone with her forehead knotted, Maxine is also looking at her phone while Binj is reading a book about horror-something. Amanah? She's eating like a cute pig.

Aish! What should I do? I'm bored to hell! I just took out my phone and open up my Wattpad account. In just 3 hours, we will finally sing.

((AFTER 2 HOURS))

Amanah's P.O.V

"Time to get ready." napatingin ako kay Cassie nang tumayo na siya Tumayo na rin ako at pati na rin ang iba. 

"Psst! Maxine!" tawag ko kay Maxine. 

"Bakit?" tanong niya, hindi man lang tumingin saakin. Hmp! Walang respeto sa nakakabata! 

"Iba yata si Cassandra ngayon?" tanong ko. Tumingin siya saakin at nagkibit-balikat lang. Wow! Ang ganda ng sagot! Pang miss universe! Tss.

Pumunta na kami sa music room na nakapangalan saamin. Queens lang ang nakalagay sa pinto. Pumasok na kami at nagpalit ng damit na suited sa kakantahin namin. After 30 minutes ay tapos na kaming mag-ayos.

"Hindi ba tayo magpa-practice, Cassie?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"We don't need that, Amanah." sabi niya at prenteng umupo na lamang sa sofa. Okay, magaling na rin naman kami eh. 

Lumipas ang 30 minutes. Kami ang unang kakanta, tapos ang Fifth Hell, pero iniba nila ang pangalan nila. Five Knights na eh. Tapos ang pang-huli and 5X. Iniba rin nila ang name nila. Kings lang sa kanila. Ang weird lang dahil Queens saamin.

Nagsimula na ang event at pinakilala na kami ng host. Pero bago yun eh may mga opening-opening speech pang sinabi.

"Okay, everyone! Let's now welcome our first performer, The QUEENS!!"
