Chapter Thirty One~Hacked

Maxine's P.O.V

Pupungay-pungay ang matang pumasok ako sa mansyon ng bumangga ako kay Amanah.

"Hey! Watch it!" I said and yawn. Tinignan niya ako bago ang kwintas ko. "What?" I asked confuse. Pagkabahala kasi ang nasa mukha nito.

"Damn it, Maxine! Na-hacked tayo!" sigaw niya at hinablot bigla ang kwintas ko. Wait---HACKED?!

"Paanong na-hacked tayo?!" I worriedly asked. Hindi niya ako kinibo. Pumunta lang siya kay Binj at binigay ang kwintas.

"What the hell is happening?!" napaigtad ako ng sumigaw si Micah. Bagong dating ito at ang dilim ng mukha.

"Our system got hacked by an unknown source. I'm trying to retrieve our files. Hopefully, let's pray that they didn't see it...yet." Binj said. Pinagpapawisan na ito. Umupo na rin si Micah at tinulungan si Binj.

"Darn it! The hacker is--- Damn!" biglang sabi ni Binj na ikinabahala namin. Mas lalong bumilis ang pagtipa nito sa keyboard, pati rin si Micah. Nagulat kami ni Amanah ng lumagabog ang pinto.

Pagtingin ko ay si Cassie. 

"What's happening?" she curiously asked. 

"Hacked!"

"THE HELL!!" sigaw niya at tumabi kay Micah. Tatlong upuan lang kasi ang nandito at apat na computers pero hindi kami expert ni Amanah sa mga ganyan. Facebook pa, pwede. 

"Shit! My mouse pointer is moving!" Micah shouted. Nabahala na kami. This hacker must be really good.

Pumunta kami sa kusina at kumuha ng maiinom. Ang intense! Tinimplahan narin namin yung tatlo.

"Sa tingin mo, sino ang nag-hacked sa atin?" Amanah asked while sipping her juice. Naririning namin ang pagku-curse ng tatlo. Napabuntong-hininga ako.

"I don't know. Alam mo namang wala akong mundo diyan." I said before crossing my arms. "Paano nga pala ninyo nalaman na hina-hack tayo?"

"Binj was the one who found out. Kusang gumagalaw ang mouse pointer niya katulad ng kay Micah. Nalaman niyang may nag-try na kunin ang informations at money natin. Oh! And it's all based on our necklaces. Naglagay si Binj ng tracker diyan. Nalalaman niya kung saan tayo and also she can hear the noises. But, the worse part is... kaya palang saksakan ng USB ang kwintas natin. At automatic na magtra-transfer doon ang mga lugar o mga pinagsasabi natin. It has alos an access in our computer. But the real question is... who is the one who did it?" 

Wow! Ang haba ng sinabi niya ah! But, if that's the case. We should change our accessories. Bumalik na kami kina Binj. Busy parin sila sa pagtipa. Tinignan ko ang computer screen ni Binj...

Damn! Wala akong maintindihan! Nahihilo ako dahil sa numbers at letters. Seriously?! Paano to nagagawa ni Binj? 

"I'm finish!" sigaw ni Micah. Pinagpapawisan ito at hinihingal. Inabot ni Amanah rito ang jusice at nagpasalamat ito. 

"Anong kinalabasan?" tanong ko. Micah looked at me  before sighing. 

"They tried to steal our money, good thing I stopped them before they can even start. But, these two here had a bigger problem. Cassandra is stopping the leakage of our files while Binj is trying to retrieve our files and also tried to hack the others.

"Done!" muntik na akong mapatalon ng sumigaw si Cassie. Katulad ni Micah ay hinihingal rin ito at pinagpapawisan. I offered her a dring and she accepted it. Tumayo ito at nag-stretch.

Si Binj na lang ang hinihantay. Mamaya ay tumigil na ito.

"Finish?" tanong ni Micah. Umiling ito.

"I just froze the system. In 3 minutes kailangan ko na ulit bumalik." ininom nito ang juice ni Amanah.

"Damn! It's frustrating! Maxine!" nagulat ako ng tinawag ako ni Binj. 

"What?" I asked. She looked at me. I can see in her eyes that she's tired.

"Sino ang huli mong kasama?" sa halip ay tanong ni Micah. Si Cassie? Ayun at nasa tapat ng aircon at nagpapalamig.

Pero teka? Ang huli kong kasama ay si...

"Bridge...Siya ang huli kung kasama. Natulog kami sa kwart---" natigilan ako ng sampalin ako ni Binj.

"Damn you! That's why! Bridge hacked your necklace while you're asleep! Heck! But, why are you sleeping in his room in the first place?!" 

Napatunganga ako. S-She slapped me! Darn it! Ayaw kong maging emosyonal kaya pinigilan ko ang sarili ko. Hindi ko alam ang sasabihin ko.

"You know that he's team are still our enemy! Darn it! How can you trust him?!" sigaw ni Binj. Frustration, anger and tiredness.

"I trained to be alert even in my sleep, Binj! But I didn't feel any danger so apparent---"

"Because you love him! That's why you can't sense any danger! Damn it! You trust him that much!" sigaw ni Binj na ikinatigil ko. I'm... I love him? No... Attracted? Yes! But love? No way!

"I agree with her, Max. Even a kid can tell you're in love. Your smile, your movement, the way you blushed when he's around? That's enough reason." mas lalo akong napatanga dahil sa sinabi ni Amanah. Am... Am I that obvious?

"Binj! Your 3 minutes are done." siagw ni Cassie kaya dali-daling umupo si Binj at nag-type ulit ng mabilis.

I'm in love with Bridge?

((AFTER 2 HOURS))

I... I... I'm in love with him?!

"Seryoso, Maxine? Dalwang oras ka nang nakatunganga. At dalawang oras na ring nagta-type si Binj ng walang katapusan."

Two hours had passed yet i'm still confused. No way! I can't be in love.

"I can't be in love, Amanah!" 

"Gaga! Anong you can't be in love?! Tao ka lang noh! Malamang may emosyon ka!" gigil niyang sabi habang dinidilaan ang ice cream na charcoal ang flavor.

"No... No... That can't be! How can I be in love with him?! We're just friends!" hysterical kong sabi. Hindi ko kayang tanggapin na mahal ko si Bridge... yes he's lovable but I can't and I shouldn't! 

"You're just afraid, Max." sabi ni Amanah saakin. Tinignan ko siya ng 'what-do-you-mean' look.

"Tyrone had already hurt you so you're scared to be in love again. People are not the same, D'vois." natigagal ako. I know she's serious since she's calling me in my last name already.

"Tao ka lang, Maxine. Tulad ng sinabi ko kanina. Meron kang emosyon. Sinong bang nagmamahal nang hindi nasasaktan? That's why some people takes risk. Even they didn't know what will happen, they still go for it but in your case. You're in love with Montefalco but won't admit it. You're scared that the same scenario will happen."

Kailan pa siya naging love-adviser? 

"Bakit mo alam? Naranasan mo na ba" I stupidly asked. Talagang stupid.

"Yes. Naranasan ko na iyon. Naranasan ko nang magmahal and I admit it. The problem is just it happened in a wrong place, wrong time and in the wrong person... Cause the guy that I have fallen inlove is none other than Cross Montenegro..."
