||Adriana's POV||
I stared at the boys rolling my eyes.
"You guys really want to take me on a date huh?" I swirled the peanut butter on my spoon, going in for another bite.
"Yes!" They both yelled, keeping their eyes on the game.
I giggled at how they didn't even bother to look in my direction.
"Come on! Come on! Come on!" Joaquín yelled out defeated.
"Yes!" Gabe screamed in victory.
"How does it feel to lose little man." Gabe rubbed it in Joaquín's face.
"I must say, it's a new feeling, that I don't like." He crossed his arms.
"Well get use to it because this won't be our last game." He smiled.
"It won't!?" Joaquín turned and looked at me questioning.
"It won't, right Adriana?" Gabe also turned to me, wiggling his eyebrows.
"I mean..." I paused and glanced at both the boys puppy dog eyes.
"It won't." I puffed out.
"Yay!" Gabriel said childishly.
"You would think that would've been my reaction." Joaquín said, making both of us laugh.

By this point, Joaquín was sound asleep, per usual.
On New Years Eve he always takes a nap before we do the countdown together.
This year in particular we had someone joining us, Gabriel.
He said he usually spends New Years with just him and his cat if he doesn't go over to his brothers house which he decided not to do this year.
"You're just so..." Gabriel begin speaking breaking the silence we were in.
"I'm what?" I took out some plates to set up the table.
"You're just so beautiful." He said.
After a few moments of dead silence he cleared his throat and pulled out his phone.
"I'm sorry, I.. you.. you just caught me by surprised. You're literally so sweet, thanks boo." I said a little shyly.
"Boo? Oh my God you called me boo for the first time." He shouted loudly with excitement.
I looked over and seen Joaquín switching positions.
"Shhh! Don't wake him up. And I always call you boo?" Confusion took over my face.
"Oops, my bad and no only through messages which isn't the same in person." He said.
"I guess Gabe." I rolled my eyes jokingly.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!" All three of us shouted in sync.
I was taken by surprise when Gabriel pulled me into a kiss.
"I've never had a New Years kiss." I blushed.
"There's a first for everything right?" He smiled.
"Yeah I guess you're right." I smiled back.
"Ehum" Joaquín cleared his throat making me and Gabe break our intense eye contact.
"I'm here too you know." He tried to say it with a straight face which quickly broke out into a laugh.
"Come on now bestie you know I love you." I said tickling him.
"Hahahaha okay okay I love you too let me go!" His contagious giggles and watery eyes caused me to stop.
"Alright get ready to shower and get in bed okay?" I said to him.
"Okay. GoodNight Gabe, goodnight Adriana." He said walking into the bathroom to get washed up.
"Goodnight young king." Gabriel said.
It was just something different about Gabriel. Something good.
"Hey Adriana can I talk to you before I go?" He said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, what's up?"
"I've been wanting to ask you this for about 2 weeks now."
"Ask me what?"
My heart begins racing.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" Gabriel eyes looks so sincere as the words leaves his mouth.
My jaw dropped. I feel all these butterflies fly through me like the first time we kissed.
Without much hesitation I quickly answer him.
"Yes! Of course!" I jumped onto him, wrapping my legs around his waist while passionately kiss him.
His plump lips don't waste anytime before kissing me back.
When we break away, I rest my head on his chest.
"I was so nervous to ask you but I knew I couldn't keep it in any longer." He says, runing his fingers through my hair.
