Chapter 33
Smile
He must be wondering why Primo wasn't here already when the food on the plate was still almost full.
Well, I just couldn't help it. I couldn't just let him continue bad mouthing Rojan when I knew better. Someone also had to open his eyes from being blinded by jealousy, so that, he could see better reason.
He glanced at me and nodded. "We will leave tomorrow morning."
Napakunot ang noo ko. "Bukas?" nagtataka kong sabi. "Bakit? Saan tayo pupunta?"
"We're going back to Manila," he answered. "I need you to book our tickets after eating breakfast. I'll give you my credit card information as well."
"Paano ang 3-day seminar?"
"I'll talk to the CEO of the company who hosted this seminar later," sabi niya. "Kailangan na nating bumalik. I have some family business to attend to."
I shouldn't tell him what happened. I already did what's needed to be done. I knew Rojan would prove himself more to Primo as an insult and step on his ego, so, I did it for him instead.
"Don't try to hang around with that man," he warned me while wearing a stoic expression. "He can be very manipulative."
If I remembered correctly, Primo just came back from the United States. I just wanted to know if they already knew each other before.
"We met one year ago, I guess, before he went to US," Rojan answered without hesitation. "Charity introduced him to me during an event where he was also invited. Apparently, they are good friends.
I was looking for an answer that would satisfy my curiosity, especially because of the involvement of Charity.
Knowing Rojan's relationship with Primo would also lead to gathering more information about his true relationship with Charity. It's like having two strings with one bow.
"You caught that, huh?" He grinned like he knew it all along.
