"Phew..."

A puff of warm air came out of Taeyong's mouth, evaporating into the cold winter air. The stretch of the bow he held, made such small noise, as he tried his best to align it against the deer.

He let go and the arrow hit the deer's head, its body falling against the snow covered mountains. Taeyong immediately looked up and ran to the deer as it moved ever so slightly, still breathing.

He took his pocket knife and stabbed its neck, the deer wailing loudly before it turned into soft muffled cries before it dies.

He tied its legs together on a rope before dragging it to his way up the mountains, shivering from the cold winter winds.

He may have time to admire such beauty of things but he wasn't one to notice them when he was on something very important. They were looking for food, but due to some accidents, some of their members needed more nutrients which caused the decrease in their food supply.

That's why he was out to hunt for food—which was, suprisingly, a deer.

As soon as he reached their home, he was welcomed with the warm heat from the fireplace.

"Yongie! You're here!", Mark came rushing down the stairs, wearing a pair of black jeans, winter boots, a plaid shirt under a red sweater. His black hair was down in a cute but messy way, the way Taeyong always admired his little brother.

Taeyong gave him a small smile.

"Where's everyone?", he asked before going to the kitchen to place the deer on the counter.

"Ten's out with Johnny for firewood. Donghyuck's out to search for some more supplies.", the black haired kid answered as he sat on a stool and crossed his arms on top of the counter and placed his chin on it.

Taeyong looked up, alarmed.

"Supplies? It's too cold out there. Where did they go?", the older asked, placing his hands on top of the deer's body, and looked down at Mark.

"They didn't go that far, did they?", he asked wih disbelief and Mark shrugged his shoulders.

"They'll be fine. Donghyuck can take care of himself, that's why I'm not worried and Ten and Johnny wouldn't let anything happen to each other out there.", Mark said quite comfortably.

As the younger noticed his hyung's worry and uncertainty, he continued, "They'll be fine, Tae. Trust me.", he assured and Taeyong slowly nodded, letting out a sigh.

"Hopefully they're back before dinner.", he answered, knowing that the boys will certainly come home safe and sound.

"How's Taeil hyung?", Taeyong asked as he tried to cleaned the deer properly.

"He's doing fine. He's resting by the way.", the younger answered as his eyes followed Taeyong's handwork over the deer.

"It's rare to find a deer.", he blurted out as he stared at his hyung's catch. Taeyong let out a grin, "We're lucky we found this.", he muttered under his breath as he tried to cleanse the deer clean if the snow and dirt.

Mark scrunched his nose.

"It smells so earthy.", he laughed and started to play with the deer's soft brown fur.

Before Taeyong could answer, the door opened quite harshly due to the strong winds. It revealed a laughing Ten with Johnny with Donghyuck following behind.

Mark's eyes lightened up.

"Hyuckie!!", he giggled and met Donghyuck with a tight hug.

These two were inseparable. They were very close and seemed to always be together. No matter how much close they are, they kept their relationship status as friends. The older always kept asking what was going on between them but it seemed that these two were still too innocent to know what they're feeling for each other.
