She grew silent and so did I as I stared out the window for the rest of the drive. Once we settled into the house, an unknown number called me. Once I answered the phone, a machine played.

"You are receiving a call from..."

"Don't say my name." Giorgio's voice could be heard

"Do you wish to accept?" the machine cut in

"Yes." I answered quickly

"How's everything?" he asked

"Good. How are you?"

"I'm good. Listen, I don't want you to think I forgot about you. I saw that you had company and I couldn't-"

"I get it. Are you safe?"

"Yeah, for now. How is he?"

"His arraignment was today. They're keeping him."

"Of course."

"Is there anything you need from me?"

"No. They'll use you to get to me and then they're going to put me up against him."

"Do you have money?"

"Not on me. I can't use my cards, but I have stashes all around."

"You just have to get to them."

"Yeah, but I'll be alright."

"Okay, call me if you need anything."

"I will. And Drew?"

"Yeah?"

"Take care."

He hung up the phone without saying anything else.

"Who was that?" Gabi asked

"Giorgio."

"Is he okay?"

"Yeah. He's keeping his head down."

"Good idea." She nodded

"Look, I'm sorry I've been acting..."

"Like you should? You're pregnant and your husband is in prison. I don't expect you to be leaping for joy."

"Thanks for understanding."

"Of course."

"Maybe we can order some food and ice cream and watch a movie in the theater." I offered

"I can't believe I've been to this house numerous times and have not been in your movie theater."

"Yeah, it wasn't my idea to have one, but the least we can do is use it."

"I'm definitely down to do that."

"But we haven't exactly stocked the movies yet."

"No biggie, we'll red box or something."

"Let's go."

We headed back out to the car and excitedly got into the back seat. We made our runs to a Mexican restaurant for take out, a gelato shop, and a red box kiosk.

We rented enough movies to last us a few days, mainly comedies.

Once we were arrived back at the house, we took all of our bags to the theater.

The recliner chairs were super comfortable and I knew I probably fall asleep in them after I finished my food.

"Are you going to leave him?" Gabi asked

"No. Why would I?"

"He might be going to prison for a very long time."

"Well, I'm just trying to stay positive."
