(Y/N) always had her nose in a book. They were better than people, like you always said.

At school, you would escape to the library and get lost in the aisles of books. Breathing in the paper scent.

(A/N: Am I the only ones who likes to smell books?😅😂 I am 100% a book hoarder. No joke. I have almost a hundred books, if not more).

Just 15 minutes until class. Might as well read.

Grabbing a book, you sat on the floor and immediately got lost in the pages.

It was perfectly quiet. Until he came.

"EXCUSE ME MISS LIBRARIAN WHERE IS THIS BOOK?"

You snapped your head up and sighed. So much for quiet.

"Young man keep your voice down! This is a library!" the librarian hisses.

"Oops! Sorry!" the annoying voice apologizes.

Turning back to your book, you smile and appreciate the peace again.

"Ugh where is this book!"

The boy's footsteps get closer and you sigh.

'If this idiot doesn't shut up, I will lodge this book down his throat.'

Opening your book up, you see out of the corner of your eye, sneakers walking towards you.

Looking up, your face cringed and dropped.

"Excuse me, do you know where this book is?" he shows you a slip of paper.

'At least he's respectful,' you thought.

"Sure. I'll show you."

Walking to a shelf, you grab the book and hand it to him.

"There you go."

"Thank you!" he opens his arms to hug you.

You back up and hold your arms up.

"Hey no touching."

"Sorry! What's your name?" he grins widely.

'Why is he smiling like the Cheshire Cat,' you grumble inside.

"I'm (Y/N). We're practically in the same classes."

"Oh yeah! You're really smart! A genius even!"

You weren't the type to give yourself credit, so you just shrugged.

"Yeah I am I guess. Anyway, I gotta go."

Grabbing your backpack, you head for the exit, but he stops you.

"What is it?" your eyes roll.

"Will I see you again?" he fumbles his hands nervously.
