Old Times (Chapter 24)

You were stuck here now, forever his lap dog.

Perhaps you wanted this in the end, maybe you wanted to be back with Orochimaru. After all, he raised you; even if it was like an animal. He was the only family you had for eight long years.

You barely remembered your own family, not even their names. You were made to believe he was the only person you had in this unfair world.

You were attached to him.

You couldn't escape his grasp even if you tried, his hold was forever on you.

He owned your soul, he owned you.

Fresh sticky blood painted the palms of your hands; three bodies rested at your heels. Their lifeless eyes gazed into your hollow soul. They were alive three minutes ago, but now they weren't.

These three humans could have lived a great life, without worry.

The screams for help and pleads for mercy had escaped their lips each time. However, you didn't listen, continuing to be the lap dog you were. Now, they weren't here, the afterlife would let them in with open arms.

You murdered them in cold blood.

You ended their lives.

Praising echoed the room as steps shuffled closer, "well done (Y/n), you did a great job!" The voice spoke with a delighted tone.

Your head turned slightly to meet the snake behind you, a smug expression plastered across his face. With each shallow breath you took anger-fueled your lungs.

He made you do this.

He made you end others lives.

You were his weapon, you were his soldier, and he could do whatever he wanted to you. Your mind clouded as he proceeded to critique you.

He spoke about how you would need to be quicker when you were to kill someone that was stronger than you. He started to talk about the Hidden Leaf, "Maybe if you work harder, we would be able to conquer the Leaf," he grinned as he looked down at the bodies beneath your feet.

You eyed him, 'conquer the leaf he says'. What would that do for him? Your mind continued to become more clouded at his statements. "...you could even dispose of Kakashi for me... he is a problem in my plans..."

What did he just say?

Dispose of who?!

Your body twisted while he stared at your face with a grin. Before you could process the information, your body acted on its own.

You pounced towards Orochimaru, your mind completely blank. Your hand sparked up with electric, "Shiden!" Shrieking sounded through the room.

He slid like a serpent, moving far from your grip. However, your body reacted to his movement and redirected your attack. You when after him without hesitating. Orochimaru's face changed from that smug look to a startled expression.

You could feel a smile creep onto your face as you charged at the man you despised all these years with malicious intent.

"Yes do it~"

Your brain proceeded to become foggier as you flew weightlessly ahead. Orochimaru had found himself in a corner, no place to go. Your neck cracked and your heart seemed strange. It was as if you were a new person at this very moment. "Do it (Y/N)~" The little devil on your shoulder whispered into your ear.

This was it.

This was finally the end of your suffering.

Or was it. . .

You quickly started to question your judgment, was this honestly the best course of action for you?

Where would you go after this?

He was the only place you had. . .

You attempted to stop your body, but it wouldn't stop. You panicked, why wasn't your body listening? You tried once more, but nothing happened. You continued to grow nearer to Orochimaru and there was no sign of forgiveness in this attack.

You forced your energy into moving one part of your body; However, it was too late. Your hand was inches away from his face, and there was no sign of him moving. "NO!" You shouted as you forced your arm to move away from his face, hitting the wall behind him.

During that split second, you saw it. That superior look returning to his face before your body dropped to the ground.
