trigger warning: mentions of abuse and rape

Scott was excited. It was finally his eighteenth birthday, and he had a whole day of festivities with his family and friends planned to celebrate.

In the middle of his birthday lunch, his father pulled him aside. "I have something to show you tonight after dinner." Rick seemed just as excited as Scott was. "You're really going to like it. But it's a secret, so meet me down here after everyone goes to bed."

Some of Scott's excitement turned to confusion. He had no idea what his father had planned.

As the day drew to a close, Scott wondered what Rick's surprise could possibly be. When his mother and sisters wished him one last happy birthday and finally went up to bed, he slipped out of his room to meet his father in the kitchen. Rick smiled when he saw him. "Hey, Scott. Get your shoes on, it's a bit of a walk."

"What is it, Dad?" Scott asked, excitement and burning curiosity in his voice. "Why do we have to walk?"

Rick chuckled. "Well, it's not exactly something physical I can give you. It's more of... an experience. Follow me."

They slipped out of the house and onto the darkened streets of Arlington. It was September, so it was nice and warm out, and the night air was refreshing. Scott looked around curiously, wondering what on earth it could be. He was even more confused when they left Scott's neighborhood and entered the shopping area, where there were stores and restaurants and even a few bars. Was Rick giving him alcohol for the first time? He wouldn't be legal for three more years.

Rick brought him to a hidden alley in between two of the busiest bars in the area. Scott was surprised he'd never seen it before after living in this area for his entire life, but he never would've noticed it had Rick not pointed it out.

"What are we doing here?" he asked, his voice hushed. It felt like the right thing to do.

Rick smirked. "Look." He gestured to the darkest corner of the alley, and there, Scott could make out the faint outline of a small Omega. His eyes widened.

"I don't... I don't understand."

Rick chuckled and shook his head fondly. "Come here, Omega," he commanded, and Scott watched in horror as the Omega weakly crawled into the front of the alley and collapsed at their feet.

The Omega was a male, and he was obviously very young. He was skinny and bruised all over and he frankly looked quite pathetic there cowering before them. Scott's heart ached for the poor thing.

"You're eighteen now," Rick started proudly, "so it's time you become a man. Every real Alpha knows about this Omega, and they use it whenever they feel like it. Now you can too. You can do whatever you want to it, but just make sure not to kill it because the other Alphas would not be very happy with you, myself included." He laughed, but Scott didn't think it was funny. He felt sick.

"Well, I'll leave you to it." Rick clapped Scott on the back. "Come home whenever you're finished. Happy birthday, Scott." He left without looking back.

Scott was so horrified he couldn't even move. A million questions raced through his head. His father expected him to rape this Omega? His father had raped this Omega and cheated on his mother? How many of his friends knew about this? Had they done it too? Was every Alpha he knew a rapist?

The longer the silence lasted, the more terrified Mitch became. He was expecting to feel rough hands on his hips and an Alpha forcing himself inside of him at any moment; usually, when this happened, the Alpha started right away. Mitch hated it when Alphas used him, but he thought he hated this suspense even more. The Alpha could be reaching out to him and he'd have no idea, no time to brace himself. He wished, for the millionth time, that he had his sight back. Being the entire town's whore had been more bearable when he could actually see when they were coming.
