I finally heard the sound that made me sigh of relief.
"Congratulations" The doctor said
Amour let go of my hand trying to calm herself down and get herself together.
"You wanna cut the umbilical cord?" The nurse asked
I nodded and cut it. They gave our baby to Amour who laid her on her chest as she still cried. Amour weeped at the sight of our beautiful baby girl.
"She's beautiful" I said smiling
The nurse took her back to clean her off and stuff.
I kissed Amour "How you feeling?"
"Like i just pushed a bowling ball out" She joked weakly "And I'm hungry"
"What you want to eat? You can have whatever you want" i told her
She smiled "I want everything"
Once the nurse did her job she handed her back to Amour.
Our baby girl started crying.
"Try to feed her. That's probably why she's so cranky" Our nurse said before smiling at us
Like mother like daughter. I chuckled to myself
"Here Rashad" Amour said handing her to me
I was nervous. My hands instantly starts sweating.
"Baby just hold her head, that's all you gotta do" Amour said smiling at me
I took our princess holding her. I sat down staring at her. Amour was making her a little bottle.
"Hey daddy's princess" I whispered
Her crying instantly stopped and small smile appeared across her face. I stared at the beautiful little girl I helped make.
