Camila's POV

"Miss Cabello, your horse is here." Miss Granger said as she stopped by my horses stable.

I whipped around in surprise. "Really?" I tried to keep the excitement out of my voice upon seeing Lauren's not-too-happy face.

The green-eyed girl offered me a forced smile. "Go see your horse."

Nodding, I abandoned the shovel in my hand and walked calmly out of the stable block.

A wide smile appeared on my face upon seeing Shadow's black coat gleaming in the English sunlight. Shadow threw her head up, her ears pricked forward, and whinnied upon seeing me.

"Hi, Shadow." I said, taking her rein from a young stable boy.

Shadow nibbled on my hair playfully. She nudged my shoulder, asking for a treat.

Rolling my eyes playfully at her, I pulled a sugar cube - her favourite treat - out of my pocket and held out out for her.

Shadow whinnied again and took the sugar cube off my hand gently, chewing on it.

Smiling at her, I ran my hand down her nose and kissed her muzzle. "Good girl." I whispered so only she could hear me.

Shadow whinnied and threw her head, scrapping her hoof along the stone ground.

I laughed and lead her towards the stable block. She was a bit unsure at first but I reassured her and she walked in without any bother. Her ears pricked up and she smelled the air, checking for danger.

Once Shadow deemed the place safe, I lead her in and introduced her to my roommates and their horses.

"Lauren, this is Shadow." I smiled at the green-eyed-girl.

"Hi, Shadow. Aren't you a beautiful mare." Lauren reached up to pat Shadow but the mare snapped at her arm.

"Shadow!" I scolded, giving here rein a gentle tug. "That's not nice!"

"It's okay, I'm used to it." Lauren said. "You should get her settled in."

Nodding, I lead Shadow over to her stall. She sniffed the door for a moment before walking in. I quickly moved the shovel before she could step on it. I placed it outside and closed the door, removing Shadow's bridle.

Two young men carried Shadow's trunk into the barn and placed it in front of her stable before leaving.

Shadow settled in quiet quickly and I groomed her to relax her. She fell asleep as I groomed her and I left her to sleep off the jetlag she had.
