"This might be the end for me, but I'm taking you all down with me." A last smirk crept up on Catherine's face before the orange gooey-like mass emerged from the ground and sucked her up as well, leaving behind only her Old Balls.

"I-Is she gone?" You couldn't help but ask first, pulling away from Aaron slightly. Kai turned around to you and the other two, flashing you all what seemed to be an indifferent expression at first, but soon turned into an almost compassionate, guilty smile. Rouen also released Yuma from his grip and the boy couldn't help but run up to Kai again, stumbling on the way. "Careful, Yuma, you're hurt."

"W-We did it..." You blurted out, turning your attention to the male in front of you. Realization struck almost a bit late, but when it did, both of you were actually very relieved and almost happy everything had come to an end. As a result of your alleviation, the two of you ended up in each other's arms again. "It's finally over. We can finally get out of here-..!"

Despite it having been the death of a person, it was worth celebrating since you had defeated your biggest threat yet and survived the seemingly suicidal mission into the Tree of Beginning, but you weren't allowed to celebrate yet; After Catherine disappeared into the ground, all the turquoise crystals in the natural room which had been glowing brightly, turned into a completely different color. Orange.

"What's going on now?!" Kai exclaimed reflexively once he started feeling the ground beneath his feet tremble. Everyone was forced to raise their guard again as well as get into more appropriate positions. Your eyes travelled to the ceiling of this area, and you were starting to get an incredibly bad feeling once your orbs landed on a bunch of giant, now orange crystals that slowly began to crumble down.

"Guys, we're going to get crushed if we stay here!" You yelled, letting your gaze go back to how it originally was. Everyone retreated all their Pokémon into their respective Old Balls. All Pokémon except the two Lucario. There were exactly two entrances in this humongous room; One that led somewhere higher and the other being the one where you had come from. "Everyone, let's hurry back!"

That was easier said than done. Once Rouen took Yuma piggyback as well as the lead and was about to reach the exit, the already damaged orange crystals came down from the ceiling and blocked your seemingly only way out of here. You were thankful it didn't squash Rouen and the orphan boy, but what just happened was still a big problem, given the fact that the Tree seemed to be capable of crumbling down at any given second now. "This is just great... What now?"

"We could try to find a way out of here by going through the other cave." Aaron suggested, pointing in the opposite direction of where you currently stood. "If so, then we better hurry, before that exit gets sealed as well!" You commented and quickly changed destination. The five of you and the two Lucario managed to reach the mentioned tunnel just in time. One second or two later and you would have been buried by the crystals and other rocks.

"There don't seem to be any of those gooey-monsters anymore... Are we supposed to be worried?" Kai asked as your group made your way through the dim and narrow area. What the brunet said was true, but there indeed seemed to be something you should be worrying about. Only Rouen and the two Lucario were able to sense the possible danger at first.

"Master, I don't mean to be a pessimist, but I'm sensing a strong aura at the end of this tunnel. It's Mew aura." The male Pokémon said slightly hesitant. That only was enough to make you all feel uneasy again and doubt in your powers and skills. Especially Yuma seemed on edge after having heard what the blue creature just announced.
