*One week later*

It's here. It's finally here.

The day when I'm practically forced to socialise with everyone around me, whether I know them or not, has come.

It's my book publishing party.

Staring at the reflection of myself in the mirror, I can't bring myself to decide what I'll be wearing.

Should I dress formally? Should I wear a party dress?

A formal dress it is.

I wear one of the dresses my parents gifted me, its a black lace dress, and I think it's good enough.

I pull my hair into a messy bun and put on small black heels which belong to my mum.

She'd probably kill me if she noticed, but she was too happy to bother about anything so petty today.

It really is a big day today.

I quickly pull my phone from my drawer to check for messages. There were two.

Why doesn't he get a hint that I'm not interested?

I scrolled over the next.

.........

I hadn't seen him in a week and my eyes longed to see him.

We talked everyday, but it wasn't the same.

Our conversations mainly consisted of him saying he missed me.

I FANGIRLED, I STILL DID.

EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF MY LIFE.

And I'd like to put it that way.

"Wow you look pretty," I turned around to see Ashley standing at my door.

"Thanks? Is this alright?" I said, adjusting my dress which fell right above my knees.

"It's perfect. It's a shame he won't see you today. He'd probably think you look way more shagadelic in this one."

Ash winks and I burst out laughing.

"What does that mean anyway?"

"It means fuckable. Austin Powers movie reference." I stated.

"HE CALLED YOU FUCKABLE THE FIRST TIME HE SAW YOU?"

"I don't have time for this, " I laughed as I made my way down the stairs and my mum immediately pulled me into a motherly embrace.

"We always dreamed of this say and we can't believe it's happening! " she said in my ears, and it tickled me.

I always hated when people said something in my ears, it always made me feel ticklish and all weirded out.

"I honestly can't believe it either!" My arms tightened around my mum's waist and I couldn't stop smiling.
