Tom Pov:

"WE WHAT?!!" I almost scream.

"We forgot Hugo's birthday!" Tord says.

I run over to the calendar and I look at the date.

I see that it was only last week that it was Hugo's birthday.

"What have I done..." I say.

"Can't we just celebrate it now?" Tord asks me.

"You don't understand Tord,"

"What am I not understanding?"

"Hugo's... Not right,"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"He always tells us when something happens or if were forgetting something. This isn't like him..."

"As I said, can't we just do the birthday party now?"

"We can't. If Hugo said he doesn't want it anymore then we can't do it,"

"Why?"

"That's our rule for birthdays. the birthday kid has to choose if they want a party or not,"

"What if the kid doesn't want a party but they don't tell us before hand?"

"We give the party, but the kid can call it off if they want,"

"You know.. Hugo didn't look right when he was talking to me,"

"How so?"

"He just didn't look like himself. What I've seen in him is happiness and intelligence, but he looked like he witnessed the death of someone,"

Maybe something really is wrong with my little boy...

I'm going to have to look into this.

"Tord I'm going to take a walk around base," I say.

"Um okay?" Tord says.

I head out of our bedroom door.

Maybe I missed something while I was at the other dimension?

I knock on Paul's dorm door.

"It's me Paul," I say.

I hear groaning and footsteps leading up to the door.

It opens and I see Paul with bedhead and only boxers on.

I guess he just woke up.

"Sorry Blue Leader Sir," Paul says.

"It's okay. I just need to ask a few questions," I say.

Paul nods and lets me into his room.

His room is semi-messy.

He has cigarette boxes everywhere and a messed up bed, but he also has his dishes clean and his clothes put away.

"I'm sorry for the mess Blue Leader," Paul says.

"It's okay Paul, but it's still really important that I talk to you," I say.

"Okay Blue Leader. You can just sit down and relax,"

"Alright,"
