Chapter 19

Veronica POV

Dylan took me to Hannah's car, to take me to the hospital. He laid me down on the back seat. Mariah sat down in the back with me. I then put my head on her legs.

I couldn't stop crying. My legs, hands, stomach, arms, and neck were burning.

We got to the hospital and Dylan carried me inside.

Three nurses ran up to us.

"Please take her inside the room." One of the nurses said.

We got to the room and Dylan laid me down in the bed. They called the doctor and the doctor came running.

I couldn't stop crying. The pain hurts so much.

"Veronica!" Emma yelled while running inside the room with Mariah, Hannah, and Ethan.

"I'm sorry, but only two people can be in here." The nurse said.

"I'll stay." Ethan said.

"Me too." Mariah said.

Emma, Hannah, and Dylan walked out.

"Ok Veronica, this might hurt, ok." The doctor said and I nodded.

Ethan was next to me so I hugged him. I hid my face on his neck.

"Ok 1.....2.....3." The doctor said.

I screamed in pain. My legs were burning so bad.

"I wanna die, just kill me already. I can't with this." I said while crying harder.

"Veronica, I promise you, it will be alright." Ethan said.

The doctor was still putting something on my legs. I could see Mariah with tears in her eyes.

The doctor was putting something on my thighs and it was still burning badly. I was screaming for how much it hurts.

"Ok, now we have to do her arms." The doctor said.

They did the same thing in every single part of my body where I got hurt.

"Ok, now rest. It might burn for a couple a minutes but you'll be fine." The doctor said while walking out.

"Veronica!!" Emma yelled while running to me.

My legs and arms were so red.

"Veronica, who did this to you?" Hannah asked.

"Sadie, Mason, Carter, and........ Aaron." I said.

Ethan walked out the room. We was so mad.

"Dylan, please go with him. He will do something stupid." I said and Dylan nodded.

Dylan POV

Ethan ran out the room to his car.

"ETHAN!!" I yelled but he didn't hear me.

I jumped in my car and followed him.

He stops at Aaron's house. This is not gonna end well.

I jumped out my car and ran inside Aaron's house. Aaron and Ethan were fighting.

"Dylan, please stop them. What's going on?" Aaron's mom said.

I pulled Ethan out and Aaron's dad pulled Aaron out.

"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR HURTING VERONICA LIKE THAT!!" Ethan yelled.

"What?!?!" Aaron's mom yelled.

"What's going on?" Aaron's dad asked.

"Let Aaron tell you what he did to who and why." I said while pulling Ethan out the house.

"Veronica is at the hospital??" Aaron's mom asked me.

"Yes, you should go see her." I said and they nodded while running out the house.

"Is she really that bad??" Aaron asked me.

"Go see for yourself." I said.

"I know it was wrong for hurting the love of my li-"

"She is not the love of your life, Aaron. If she was, you wouldn't done that to her. You crossed the line this time Burriss......... The people were right. She deserves someone better. Someone that will not hurt her like you did, Aaron. You are not the one for her." I said while walking out.

We drove to the hospital and Veronica was talking to Mariah and Hannah.

Veronica POV

"Veronica!!" Mrs. Burriss yelled.

"Mrs. Burriss, what are you doing here??" I asked.

"Omg Veronica, who did this to you??" She asked me.

"My brother, mom. My stupid brother did this to her." Mariah said while crying a little.

"Ethan, what happened to you??" I asked. His nose was bleeding.

"He went to Aaron's house and fought him." Dylan said.

"How are you feeling??" Mr. Burriss asked me.

"Not really well, all my body is burning." I said with tears in my eyes.

"Can I see what my son did??" Mr. Burriss asked.

I lift up the hospital shirt a little and showed them my stomach. I lift up my head a little, showing them my neck.

"We'll pay the hospital, Veronica. Don't worry about it." Mr. Burriss said.

"No please, it's alri-"

"That's the least we can do, Veronica. You don't deserve this." Mrs. Burriss said.

"Can you walk??" Mr. Burriss asked.

I shook my head 'no'.

"I don't know for how long but when I step, it hurts." I said while wiping my tears away.

"Umm...... I'm sorry for the interruption but Veronica needs rest." The nurse said and they nodded. Everyone walks out except Ethan.

"Thank you." I said.

"Anything for you." He said.

He kisses my forehead and walked out.
