Chapter 5

Veronica POV

"Listen to me Veronica, you're gonna pay me back but way worse." Aaron said pressing my arm.

I just looked down.

We drove to my house and got in the driveway.

I opened the car's door and jumped out.

"That was a warning Veronica." He said pointing to me.

I just nodded.

I walked in my house and sat down on my couch. Now I am debating if I should go to school tomorrow or not.

😧Next Morning😧

"Veronica, wake up." Hannah said while shaking my shoulders.

"What" I said while opening my eyes.

"We have to go to school, and it's your turn to drive." Hannah said smiling.

"Just let me get changed." I said getting up from the couch.

I walked upstairs and got ready with my black skinny jeans, a simple white tee, and black converse.

"Ok, let's go" I said.

Hannah gave me her car keys and we walked out.

We got in the car and drove off. We got to school and I parked the car.

We both jumped out the car and went separate ways.

I walked to my locker to grabbed my science book. Everyone was already in class.

"Veronica"

I turn around and saw Ethan.

"Hey Ethan" I said.

"What is your first class?" Ethan asked me.

"Science" I said while grabbing my book.

We walked to class. We were talking and laughing. Never knew Ethan was so funny and sweet.

"Here's your class." He said pointing to the door.

"Yeah I know." I said.

There was dead silence. I felt so awkward cause I thought someone was following us.

"Veronica, I have a question." Ethan said.

"Ok and the question is?" I asked while raising my eyebrows.

"Do you want to go out with me this Friday?" He said while looking down.

"Yeah, sure." I said.

"Really?!?!" He said very happy.

"Yeah, why not." I said.

"I'll pick you up at 8." Ethan said.

"Perfect" I said while walking into my classroom.

"Bye Ethan." I said.

Aaron POV

I was walking to class with Dylan and Mariah. I walking until I saw Veronica talking to some guy in the hallway.

"Is that Veronica?" Mariah said pointing to them.

"I think it is." Dylan said.

"I need to go the the bathroom." I said while pointing at it.

"Ok then, I'll just go to class." Mariah said.

"See ya later bro." Dylan said walking behind Mariah.

I have no clue what is going on with those two.

I got closer to Veronica and heard he laughing. He isn't that funny. I then saw him walk Veronica to her class. Oh, how cute.

"Yeah, sure." Veronica said.

Ethan was looking down.

"Really?!?! He said happy.

"Yeah, why not." Veronica said smiling.

"I'll pick you up at 8." Ethan said.

"Perfect" Veronica said walking inside the class.

"Bye Ethan." She said smiling.

They're going on a date. It's fine with me, I don't care. I then walked in the bathroom.

"What am I saying, I do care. She can't go out with Ethan cause I...like her?? I do but I can't let her know. No one can know expect me. Every single time I bully her, it's not funny at all. I feel bad but she can't go out with Ethan." I said to myself.

Then I walked out the restroom.

Veronica POV

I have a date with Ethan. It's cool but I don't like him like that. I didn't want to make him feel bad so I said yes.

🍔Lunch🍔

I walked to Hannah's table with Emma and Ethan. I wasn't hungry at all so I didn't eat.

"Let's go and sit down under the tree." I said pointing at it.

"Yeah, let's go." Hannah said.

"Hey!!" Aaron yelled.

I'm scared right now because of what he told me yesterday.

"What Burriss?" Emma said.

"I'm grounded for 4 months because of you." Aaron said while walking towards me but Ethan stand up in front of me. Aaron pushed him away and Dylan grabbed Ethan and Mason grabbed Hannah so they don't hit Aaron or something.

"Leave her alone" Emma said but someone grabbed her arms.

Aaron pushed me and I fell on the ground. Everyone was looking at us.

Aaron POV

It hurts me when I have to hit her but she can't go out with Ethan. I stepped on her ankle as hard as I can.

She screamed and it honestly broke my heart but she can't go out with Ethan. I saw tears going down her cheeks. I can't see her cry so I got close to her and wiped her tears with a devil smile on my face. I then got up and walked away.

"Let's go" I said to the guys and they followed me.

I turn around and saw Hannah, Emma, and Ethan running to her to help her.

"Dude, I think you crossed the line. She can't even walk." Mason said.

I just ignore them.

"I'm sorry Veronica." I said to myself.
