Chapter 6

I pressed play on the movie and we laid there enjoying every part.

After almost 2 hours, the movie was over.

To me the movie was deeper than it really was. When Nemo was taken away from his father I felt that.

But instead of my father, I thought of it as my mother.

Joaquín on the other hand, took in the movie as everyone else took it. As I expected.

As Joaquín was walking into the bathroom, I began checking me phone.

[ Gabriel - Hey, I got off work a little early. Can I come pick up the jacket? ]
- received at 12:56 PM
[ Gabriel - Where should we meet up? ]
- received at 1:04 PM
[ Gabriel - Adriana, you there? ]
- received at 1:11 PM

Oops, I was so into the movie that I didn't realize he had texted me.

[ Adriana - Hey, sorry, I was watching a movie but we can meet where we last were yesterday." ]
- sent at 1:27 PM

I sent the text and grabbed my slides.

[ Gabriel - Okay, I'll be there in about 5 minutes. ]
- received at 1:29 PM

"You leaving me?" I heard from behind me.

"Joaquín I'll be right back. Put some cartoons on, keep yourself busy." I said to him.

"Oh I know how to keep my self busy. You run along." He smiled grabbing the remote.

I grabbed the jacket and my phone then proceeded out the door.

I walked around the corner where we last were and waited.

After about two minutes of waiting, I heard a car horn.

I turned around and saw Gabriel stepping out of the car.

"Woah is that yours?" Was my immediate question.

"Yes, 2018 Range Rover." He said throwing me the keys.

"What's this for?" I asked.

"It's all yours." He said in a duh voice.

"Wait Really!?" I screamed.

"Hahaha no silly goose." He laughed grabbing the keys out my hands.

"What did you think this was? One of those cliché romance movies? Hahaha."

"I knew that haha I was just playing along duh!" I laughed sounding like I just made that up, which I did.

"Anyways, heres your jacket." I handed it over to him.

"Thank you for returning it even though you could've kept it." He said grabbing it.

"But you said you wanted it back..."

"I just wanted a reason to see you again, I thought that was obvious." He chuckled nervously.

"Oh, right haha." I also chuckled nervously.

"Okay listen, the only thing I know about you is your name and that you have a little brother. So I can only imagine what you're about to think but will you go on a date with me?" He blurted out.

"I- i-" My words wouldn't come out.

"You don't have to give me a answer right now because I know this just came out of nowh-"

"Yeah, I'll go on a date with you." I said trying to sound confident.

"Oh, okay great, tomorrow?" He asked smiling.

"I can't, I'm spending the day with my brother." I bit my lip nervously.

"Okay, are u free the night after?" He asked.

"I am now." I smiled.

"Alright, I'll pick you up at 8?"

"Sounds good." I said in response.

"Okay, well just text or call me if u need anything. Oh and I work from 5AM-1PM everyday of the week except for my off day on Sunday." He said with many hand gestures.

"Okay." I laughed.

"What?" He laughed with me.

"You talk with your hands a lot." I continued laughing.

"Yeah I need to work on that because you're not the first person to say that haha. I might call you later so be on the lookout." He said.

"Alright, drive safe." I said waving as I turned the corner.

I opened the door and closed it placing my back on it.

"Woah!" I said as I held my chest and smiled.

"What's happening to me?" I questioned in my head.

UGHHH I love this chapter sooo muchhh lololololol !! Joaquín is hilarious and Gabriel is so sweet. Im getting attached to these characters lmaoo! This is my longest chapter so far with 1150 words!! Anywayssss I hope y'all enjoyed this chapter.
